Best question is who will get the most money?

I think the three that stick out are Gagner, Wheeler and Bogo.

Tough call, both Gagner and Wheeler have shown some steady improvement and young guys have gotten some big deals in recent years as RFAs. Bogo is a potential stud D and they get paid well too...

As he should. It's his 4th NHL contract, he vastly outplayed his last contract over the past two seasons, and he's entering the prime of his career at 27. Stats aside, Blake Wheeler was the best Jet forward in just about every game I saw this past year outside of maybe Kane or Ladd on some nights. He'll get a big reward, and it will be well deserved based on his play.

Why would Wheeler get to UFA? Would Winnipeg not sign him if he gets a pretty high arbitration amount?

I don't think teams can walk away from awards greater than 3.5M anymore, so chances are with his production he will be sticking with the Jets and the can't really say much about it.

gagner takes a one year deal at 4mill and becomes a ufa, heads to either Vancouver or Toronto. make book on it. Youngest UFA of all time. And the oilers start losing key pieces to their puzzle already

I think he meant UFA a year from now, which seems quite possible if they go to arbitration in a few days.

Because if he goes to arbitration, he'll most likely get a 1 year deal. An arbitrator can only award a 1 or 2 year deal I believe.

After that deal he will be a UFA (same for Little I believe). That would be a bad thing for the Jets IMO.

Much rather see all 3 of these guys locked up long term.

I believe it's actually the opposite - you can't walk away if it's UNDER 3.

You sure about that? because there was already a pretty big name, younger UFA than Gagner last year.... Justin Schultz. Also T.O. doesn't need/want Gagner with the amount of $ he'd want if he did walk.

Bolland and McClement are UFAs. Bolland will likely be let go of after this season as he'll demand a bunch of money more than he's worth.

Oh yea for sure. He is pretty under rated IMO. if he goes UFA he should get clarkson type money. He is an awesome powerforward. I would take him on the Habs in a milli second

MacT has been refering to him as a winger since he Became GM.

Hall - XXX - Yakupov
Perron - RNH- Eberle

3 years of Perron on the Wing @ 3.8M might be a cover for gagner being gone next year.

Seems like the Jets will have to fork out money this offseason.

Wheeler is most likely in the 4.5 million to 5 million range.

Little is most likely in the 3.8 to 4.2 million range.

Bogosian 3.5-4.5 million range.

Of course a lot of it depends on if they are bridge deals ect.

He obviously means UFA through 7 years of NHL service time.

I don't think that will be the case at all. He's not going to get to UFA.

All 3 are coming off bridge deals and are 1-2 years from UFA. Your estimates of Wheeler and Little are pretty close, too low for Bogosian. IMO Bogo will get the biggest contract of the 3. Chevy will be run out of town if he doesn't sign him long term.

There are a lot of jets on that list. Thank god they were able to work out a deal with Tangradi before an arbitrator awarded him a league minimum contract.

Do these guys all want out of winnipeg or are the jets just being cheap? According to cap geek, the jets have roughly $19 million in cap space, more than any other team.

What is Chevy doing?

I think what's happening is a lot of players see the 7 and 8 year deals being handed out and are demanding a max term deal. The Gms like Chevy are probably reluctant in some cases to go beyond 5 or 6 years because they want to have more flexibility in the future to sign other players. It's a slippery slope and with the cap at $65 this year it doesn't make it any any easier.

You may be right. The fact the term limit exists now has created sort of a magnet effect, every valuable player would like to get a 7-8 year term.

In the past with no limit, they might have settled for 3-5 years.

I suspect none of them will actually reach arbitration.
