No thank you. We have enough forwards as it is. Let one of the young guys have that spot.

Amazingly he's still only 34, he just plays like he's 44.

Please no to Morrow. If the Canes put Morrow and J Staal on the ice at the same time that would be the slowest line in history.

You can expect a solid game from him here and there. However, he doesn't have what takes to bring that type of game on a nightly basis.

Or another way to look at it: Ruutu is the fastest player on that line.

Morrow is a shell of his former self. No thank you.

Luke De****... Don't see anything wrong with it.

And wow, they traded away Joe Morrow just to borrow Brenden Morrow for a few months...? Sucks for the Pens.

Toronto can't really afford to increase salary at the moment. After RFAs are settled I expect the Leafs will be very tight against the cap, and that would be using Colborne as a 3rd line winger.

As a Bruins fan I'm 100% ok with this.

It's crazy that Kulemin makes so much less than Ruutu.

[QUOTE=WordUp;69338753]Just curious of your placement. Has Skinner really been that bad that he's not worth playing on the first or second line? Or is it just a chemistry thing?

Chemistry more than anything. I think everyone is anticipating Skinner and Lindholm playing off each other. We'll see...

Skinner and Jordan Staal were surprisingly bad together the second half of last season. It may have been related to other issues around the team, but they just couldn't seem to do anything together. For the most part, our projections of our lines for next year assume they will be split up.

I'm going to believe that line didn't work because the third player on that line constantly changed. That line needs a good playmaker. I know management is talking about Lindholm as the 3rd line center, but the guy has a nice pass. I think he would work out great on the second line with Skinner and J.Staal.

Rutherford said Canes are close to signing Zac Dalpe. Confirmed Canes have talked to agent of UFA Brenden Morrow.
