Cullimore was dangled to us...

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/200...nhl/index.html

New Flyers GM Paul Holmgren is said to be looking to make a blockbuster trade to shake things up, with winger Simon Gagne's name being floated as possible bait. It's believed the Blackhawks have offered the Flyers defenseman Jassen Cullimore, who according to a report in the Ottawa Sun also has been shopped to the Bruins.

Also...
The Bruins aren't happy with their goaltending. You can bet they're looking at Vesa Toskala in San Jose, but there's no way the Sharks would want Glen Murray when they've got Jonathan Cheechoo as Joe Thornton's triggerman.

Wonder what the Flyers want for Gagne? Does Boston have the assets to make an offer?

Nug, I'm not sure what you're talking about... I don't think it was me who mentioned them.
btw I just searched for Woolley and my username and there is nothing coming up, but this thread.

I said this two weeks ago. There is no chance of Glen Murray going to SJ. None.

If we could somehow land Cullimore we would be assured of a playoff spot. I just wonder how Chara would react to being number two?

Hopefully, Chia jumps all over this if it's true.

Have we forgotten that Boston has only scored more than two goals a game on one occasion this year? Personally, this concerns me more than adding defense.

Cullimore was dangled to us...

Does "dangled" mean offered to us praying we would take him for some reason?
Yanic P. came at 700k, I know he's a centre but he's great on the draws, killed the Bs for years. For a team that rarely controls the puck, wouldn't have been bad. If it didn't work out, somebody would take him at the deadline at that price. Nothing ventured...

Agreed...... Our defense isn't great, but our offense really needs a boost. I think the first order of business is to get someone who can put the puck in the net.

Me three. Getting goals is the biggest need of all. If you improve the goaltending, then what good is it to lose 1-0 instead of 2-1?
