Not 2M$... only 0,7M$. I guess there were never true negociations between Calgary and Perreault.

I don't think he wanted to come here. He has a home in Phoenix, that was his first choice.

We can do better.

Agreed. Yanic is an ace in the faceoff circle, and is usually good for 20 goals, but I wouldn't displace any of our top three centres to make room for him. If Stephane Yelle was lost for the season or something, I'd give him more consideration.

I guess the Coyotes felt that their team wasn't old enough already.

They made this signing to replace Reinprecht, who is out with injury until feb. Isn't wasn't done to get older and what harm is this deal anyway? Perreault is coming off a career season and is an ace in the faceoff circle and he is only making 700k/1year deal. Roenick,Nolan are also on one year deals and wil be replaced by Mueller,Hanzal and possiably Wheeler for next season. Nolan,Roenick,Perreault are all stop gaps until those three young players are ready for next season. Mueller was close to making it this season as was Hanzal(who is close to leading the whole WHL.! Smart move by the yotes ,IMO. Their injury's are where they are in the standing, not their older veterans playing poorly.
