Ehhhh kinda. It depends individually but yeah most euro skaters probably dream of winning a gold versus the Stanley cup.

Hall, Eberle, Dubnyk is my guess.

Luongo and Mike Smith will be the 1a 1b guys. Book it.

Price third stringer.

Dubnyk should get an invite to camp though. He has always been there for Canada at the WC's.

If the players didn't care the NHL wouldn't have fought for the Olympics. The NHL gains very little from the Olympics.

Brodin is more likely.

My opinion with regards to camp invites by team:

Canada: Hall, Eberle, Dubnyk

USA: Petry

Finland: Hartikainen

Russia: Yakupov, Belov, maybe Grebeshkov

Czech: Smid, Hemsky

Slovakia: Marincin

Erm, well, yes. This.

I could see Joensuu getting an invite for Team Finland. And of that list, making the actual team, Hall, Petry, Hartski, Yakupov, Belov, Smid are my picks.

Probably Babcock again no?

Maybe Hitchcock gets on as an assistant.

Hall will make Team Canada!

Does Kevin Lowe have any role in selecting Canada's team?

I want to see Canada roll with a Oilers line

Hall-Nuge-Eberle.

If this line is on fire come the olympics, I don't see why not.

J Schultz/RNH might get invites considering they've gotten invites for the WCs, they probably don't have a shot at making the actual team though.

He's on the management team.

I could see him getting Nuge an invite if he gets off to a good start.

there are olympic camps for each country? when are those?

as to the question of who makes the teams from the oilers... the only one i could potentially see if hall, but even then i doubt, as canada likes to have centers playing the wing... i suppose yakupov *could* theoretically make the russian team, but they are loaded on the wing, so he'd have to be on a 40+ goal pace i think to make it (since he is so young still)... smid likely makes the czech team now that i think about it a bit more

Team Canada's Centre Depth, in no particular order
Crosby, Bergeron, Richards, Spezza, Thornton, Giroux, Benn, Carter, Duchene, Getzlaf, Ribeiro, Eric Staal, Jordan Staal, Stamkos, Tavares.

For argument's sake:
Bergeron-Crosby-Stamkos
Tavares-Spezza-Benn
Thornton-Richards-Carter
Staal-Staal-Giroux

That's an all-centre lineup. So, unless RNH averages 4 points a game for the first month of hockey, I don't see him really getting an invite this time around.

Well that sure puts things into perspective quite well.

Hall, Eberle, YakP, Belov, Smid, Petry, Hartikainen, and Marincin all make it to their respected teams final rosters
