Lol 22 sets of back to backs. Boy, did we pick the right year to trade for Schneider. Moose could have gotten maimed in a lot of those games.

Its a joke that we have so many more back to backs than the Rags and Pengs.
Blatant league bias against us.

Possibly. Lou has probably known the schedule for at least 2, probably 4 weeks already.

Might as well play back to back to prevent DeBoer from doing something stupid like playing Brodeur 15 games in a row

Heh. Okay, that's possible. At least we know Schneider is going to start at least 22 games.

Someone needs to inform the NHL what the word "metropolitan" means.

23 assuming they also give him the home game against the Canucks in October. Not a back-to-back but we're in Columbus on the 22nd and Boston on the 26th and that game's smack in between them.

I mean back-to-backs, especially when you have two goalies aren't all that terrible unless they're in different cities. Going to Minnesota the night after a home game against the Flyers in early November is infinitely worse than playing back-to-back tri-state games. I'm more worried about how many 7-game in 11-day type stretches there are, that's when it gets brutal.

Going to be tough with some of the older, bigger boys we have.

Another reason to expect some of the young D prospects to get a few games.

Where is Severson playing this year?

No weekend Devils game in Montreal is a travesty.

This has been a BG winter road-trip tradition since forevers.

Devils still have the least amount of miles traveled in the league, and get the west coast trip over with first week of the season. Rangers take that trip in late March.

the league thought they were putting the screwjob to the Devils with all those back to backs only to have Lou land a legit starter to split starts.

Rubber bounce and stuck in glue! Take that NHL. Muahahahaa.

Yeah, that and asking the league to spot each opponent a goal before each game begins.

10 Friday home games, 8 Saturday, 5 Sunday including the Yankee stadium date. 2 weeks between NFC/AFC championship games and Super Bowl 49 Devils play 2 home games during the first week. Those games will be Sellouts. Plus they put a Monday home game vs. Colorado right after the Super Bowl. Also gave Devils a home game the WED before Thanksgiving which is always a good thing. In terms of attendance the schedule is hooked up. But in terms of actually staying out of last place it isnt a great schedule.

They've done that before, but with a later start (3pm or even 5pm). 1pm could be tough for some folks, but I guess they figure that they will have enough families (since schools are closed) to fill the place. Plus some out-of-town masochists who might be heading to Times Square that night.
