Got a great pic with my infant son last summer sitting inside the cup, hope to get another pic with him and the cup this year when seabrook brings it to Tswassen
if anyone hears of when post please...
Seabrook moved from Tsawwassen to Kelowna because he was getting harassed and threatened by Canucks fans. No joke. People were leaving stuff on his lawn and tampering with his mailbox. You might have to drive up to the lake if you want to see Seabs or Keith (in Penticton) with it.
Blackhawks Trainer Bringing Stanley Cup to Crestwood
Chicago Blackhawks trainer Mike Gapski, a Crestwood resident, is inviting a "friend" over to his hometown next week, and everyone's welcome to stop over and say hi.
Thanks to Gapski—and the Blackhawks for, you know, winning the NHL Final—the Stanley Cup will be in Crestwood on Wednesday, July 24, according to Village Mayor Lou Presta's Facebook page. There will be a parade, and photo opportunities with the Cup will benefit Crestwood charities and amateur sports teams, according to the page.
Here's the July 24 schedule for the Stanley Cup:
9 to 10:30 a.m.: The Cup will be at Incarnation Parish, 5757 W. 127th St., for a photo op.
11 a.m. to 1 p.m.: A parade featuring the Cup will start at Incarnation Parish and go to Caesar Park, 4454 142nd St., for more photos.
Photo Cost: $5 for individual shots, $10 for family shots.
Gapski has been the Blackhawks head athletic trainer since 1987, and he lives in Crestwood with his wife, Lynne, and their four children, according to a press release.
After its appearance in Crestwood, the Stanley Cup will hustle over to make an appearance in Merrionette Park at 115 Bourbon Street, 3359 W. 115th St.
There's an outside chance I can make it to 115 Bourbon St., depending on the timeframe the Cup will be there...gotta be at work by 6:00 PM that day to work midnhgts. Might have to sacrifice a little sleep though.
Thanks for the post. I have been waiting to see if it would end up in my general area on a day I don't have work and finally something that fits the description popped up. In 2010 my family went to a similar type of event but I couldn't make it, so my parents have a picture hanging in their house of the whole family except for me standing with the cup. Maybe I'll finally be able to get a picture for them to hang next to that one.
