I do think he is good enough with more training, not better than Camara but no worse than Brovsky, he didnt fit Marsch system. He deserves a second go.

Probably cause we told his brother on these forums to suggest that Blake did learn French ASAP in order to get the media on his side lol

EDIT: Beckham looking at getting a MLS franchise in Miami.. Nesta publicly stated he wanted to coach once his career was over, and that his family currently live in Miami, and won`t move back to Italy. IIRC Beckham was loaned to Milan for a bit, so they must know each other. Wouldn`t be surprised to see Nesta coach that Franchise whenever it comes out

I'm sure the language barrier would be a major obstacle... but maybe be an assistant coach for the first few years while he learns engligh and becomes better at it... don't know. stay here Alessandro.

Yep they know eachother and Nesta lives in Miami and he speaks English well enough to coach. Anyway, dont be surprised if he stays one more year then fly to Miami and being appointed as a coach.

We still have no idea if MDV is going to play tomorrow according the Impact's twitter feed. Would you guys go with more of a defensive formation or keep the 4-4-2 and play Wenger with Paponi?

Personally I have a feeling we'll stick to the 4-4-2. I mean we used a 4-4-2 on the road in NY and it sounded like Schallibaum was going to stick with it.

i think at home they should always stick to the 4 4 2

if di viao doesnt play tomorrow..they will probably start nyassi on the bench and sub him in for either paponi or wenger

but on the road they've had much more success playing a 4 1 4 1 system and i wouldnt be surprised if they go back to that or a variation of that

next 2 games are big..luckily they're at home

Yeah, next 2 games are huge. We either distance ourselves from the pack or we're in the middle of the playoff race.

Hopefully he doesn’t play, lets not rush him we all know how he plays when he is upset and its not like we play bad without him. Let MDV rest.
At home 4 4 2 as usual.

I'd go with a 4-2-3-1 since MDV shouldn't play and we need to settle defensively. We know we can score goals, now, we have to defend. It is also time to give Nesta a rest. Schallibaum said that some guys couldn't play in the heat/humidity and today will be very hot and humid, perfect timing to rest Nesta without creating a controversy.

Perkins
Brovsky - Camara - Ferrari - Iapichino
Bernier - Warner (Arnaud could also start, I guess)
Mapp - Felipe - Smith
Paponi

That's what I'd go with today. Wenger woud sub in for Paponi at some point, Warner for Arnaud or Arnaud for Warner and the other change would depend on how the game goes.

My lineup as well. I may however try to start Nyassi. And maybe Bush but I don't think Schalli would do it.

Impact de Montréal ‏@impactmontreal 38s
XI #IMFC vs @FCDallas | Perkins; Brovsky, Ferrari, Nesta, Camara; Arnaud (C), Felipe, Bernier; Mapp, Paponi, Nyassi #IMFClive

BLAKE.SMITH?!?!

High expectations for Felipe. Playing in his best position now as an AM in a 4231 by the looks of it

EDIT: Nick Sabetti says we are playing a 433

It is ckearly a 4-3-3. Don't hate it as it means we will focus on possession and slow the game down which should help us defensively.

Not really, when we played in the first games 4-3-3 we tended to give possession a lot, and rely on counter attacks

First 2 games we played 4-1-4-1. First time we're playin 4-3-3 clearly because Arnaud doesn't work in a 4-2-3-1. Disappointed to see Smith on the bench.

FC Dallas ‏@FCDallas 17m
#FCDallas Starting XI: Fernandez, Benitez, John, Hedges, Loyd, Michel, Jacobson, Watson, Ferreira(C), Cooper, Hassli #DTID

Cooper and Hassli as the forwards for Dallas... Thats one big (pun intended) task for Sandro and Matteo.

We played a 4-1-4-1 based on counter-attack. A 4-3-3 should lead to a more possession-oriented game.
