It was like he couldn't even hold a conversation hahaha. Maybe it was just because he was mid workout and it was THE bobby ryan after all.

I think he was caught off guard. Not use to seeing a camera unless Mendes is there lol.

He was mid workout and it looks like he is going hard.

Agreed. There is no reason to think that he will be off to philly in two years. If the sens do well next year and ryan clicks with spezza, there is no reason why ryan will not sign an extension. People need to stop being so pessimistic when it comes to whether or not ryan re-signs with us.

In two years Melnyk might have casino money and Giroux will be begging BM to come play in Ottawa with Ryan

Even if melnyk does have the money, the sens will never get giroux. First of all, he just signed an 8 year extension. So we would have to get him by trade. Second, the amount of assets that we would have to give up for him is not worth it at all. We already gave up a first+silfverberg+Noeson for bobby ryan, i cannot imagine what we would have to give up for giroux.

Probably not much. Players that demand to be traded to like one team won't return much. So if Giroux ever demands to come, it should be ok.

For someone who just signed an 8 year extension, i doubt he will be demanding a trade any time soon. Plus, trading for giroux would just kick spezza off the first line unless he plays right wing, which wikipedia says he can in addition to playing center. If he did play center here, where would we put spezza then? Would we put him on the second line? Where would turris then go? I would like to have giroux on this team, but its just a fantasy dream as of now.

Also, i don't really know if i would want the sens to take on giroux contract anyways. Eight year contract worth 66.2 million with a cap hit of 8.25 million.

What....why didn't Giroux sign with his hometown, or in Montreal like all French kids want???

This is inexplicable behavior.

So you're saying that a player might choose to sign somewhere that he wasn't raised, or with a team he didn't grow up cheering for?

Unheard of.

All this talk of will he or won't he re-up with the Sens...pointless. The best thing this organization can do to influence Ryan's decision is be successful - and IF Karlsson returns to form and IF Spezza and Michalek can remain relatively injury free (let's call that 75 games played) and IF the Sens can get something close to the goaltending they got this past season, then there is no reason why this team cannot be successful. If Ryan is enjoying being a Senator, getting the $$'s he's due and has a chance to win...why wouldn't he sign an extension? He made a comment towards the end of the video,"it's like I've heard from every player I've talked to, this is a first class organization that doesn't cut corners." Music to this Sens fan's ears!

Neat video, and Bobby seems like a genuinely nice guy. But let's get the camera out of his face, that's gotta wear a guy down.

Those are some of the most entertaining interviews i've ever heard from a hockey player. When his hockey career is over, Bobby Ryan could just walk into TSN and demand James Duthie's job.

If she's unhappy, you're unhappy. If she's unhappy long enough, you're unhappy....with half of your stuff.

Some of these interviews had me rolling. What an easy-going guy! I'm glad he addressed the Philadelphia rumors, but I'm even more optimistic after seeing how impressed he was by our facilities. I can't wait to see how he and Spezz mesh next season!

Was anyone else relieved when they heard him say girlfriend?
