Jarret Stoll

Just wanted to know the value of him. He plays an important role and he is gritty as hell. Great 3rd line center.

As an oilers fan, I would absolutely love him. I would trade Hemsky and 3rd for him

Richards - Carter - Hemsky would be an insane line.

There's really no power forward on that line. I think they'd be ok until Hemsky goes down with a hangnail.

Hemsky maybe 2-3 years ago, but we got Toffoli and cap space issues, don't see us given up Stoll for something we don't need. Any deal with Hensky will have cap space retention , at 5 million and UFA I think oilers lose him for nothing or a cheap deadline deal.

Is the guy even going to play hockey this year? Has he been medically cleared to workout?

I would take him every day of the week, but the guy might be forced to LTIR.

Don't you have better stuff to do than insult others who aren't really trying all that hard to be funny? He's got a point, Hemsky is ridiculously injury prone and soft.

The last time Hemsky came close to appearing in a complete season was 2005-06, and he had a very productive playoffs that year too. Sad to see how he's always finding a way to get injured. And any team that trades for Hemsky is going to be wary of that fact. He's getting older and those injuries aren't going to heal any faster.

He's had health issues this offseason that may be concussion related.

Except that its massive underpayment for a guy who is the IDEAL #3C. Plays on the PP, plays on the PK, responsible defensively, chips in offensively. One of the best at faceoffs. Dating Erin Andrews.

It depends-- will Erin Andrews show up at the games?

in that case, any team will keep their 3rd, and maybe offer a 6th? ( and that's being generous)

she's a mutt.

and for OP who is ridiculing Hemsky about his injury problems to ask about stoll?...get real, the guys head is ruined, and I doubt he plays hockey again.

If stoll is healthy is will be wanted by almost every team.
before he had his seizure I was thinking a deal around him for Perron could be a good fit for both. Now I do not think there is a market.

I think his value is comparable to Paul Gaustad. Stoll makes less than Gaustad does now...Gaustad cost Nashville a first rounder in 2012.

I was just thinking of Gaustad before I read this. Fair comparison IMO, which is miles away from 6th round pick.

at the notion Stoll is only worth a 3rd. Some people clearly don't pay attention to what GMs pay for players.

And he was completely fine until this one after the last. It's a scare for sure and a VERY legitimate concern but I think it's gotta be an isolated incident from the concussion he suffered because of the Torres hit. From what we know so far, Stoll will be fine.
