Can we have 1 thread without Elliott bashing. He was great down the stretch and was very good in the playoffs with probably 1 goal that he'd like back, but Quick had 2 or 3 of those himself.

Between Halak, Elliott, Allen, Binnington, and the chicago wolves only taking ten prospects, The Blues have more goaltending than they can handle already. Dubnyk is probably one of the more underrated goalies in the league, but - even assuming EDM wants to move him - there's probably a better deal to be had somewhere other than St Louis...

Regardless of ones opinion of Dubnyk, Edmonton doesn't have other options to replace him in net. Trading him for either of Halak or Elliott doesn't make a lot of sense for Edmonton.

Edmonton are in win mode today so Elliot is ultimately out of contention.

You still have not explained your rationale behind sending duby to the blues. Don't waiste our time and explain it.

Good try but Halak is better than Dubnyk and the Blues would never want Dubnyk's sorry ass. Look up Dubnyk's career numbers against us and you'll see why.

He's not good, he just has the fortune of being 6'6''.

No need to insult Dubnyk for different opinions on him. As a Blues fan I see no reason to trade for him and am not sold on him. But he has put up good numbers in a limited showing playing for EDM.

The Elliott bashing is hilarious. He's had one bad month with us. Under Hitchcock. He was phenomenal with us. Before Hitchcock.

He took the Kings to game six and played great. The reason we lost was because we couldn't put the puck in the net. The need to rag on him is stupid.

He has built himself back up as a very good 1B goaltender. Should he be the everyday guy? Probably not. But he gets it done for us when we need him too.

So why would we trade Dubnyk when hes "gulp" our starting goalie? Do you want a Labarbera and Bachman duo for an 82 game season? Yeah that tandem is sure is a win now move.

What a poorly thought out proposal for both teams. STL does NOT need Dubnyk and we cannot trade him without an upgrade in net.
