OK then.

This is on an international size rink so you might as well remove Canada from the "top" team too.
Yeah, I would bet on us at least medaling again.

Dustin Brown beat Zach Parise in the 2012 SCF.

Two weeks prior, Zach Parise beat Ryan Callahan in the ECF.

I'd say 2012 set the record straight on who the captain should be.

I'm fine with Callahan or Parise as captain... anyone but Dustin Brown!

Parise shouldn't be a captain. He abandoned the NHL team he captained last year. David Backes should wear the C.

This. Backes is a warrior. Remember watching him play last Olympics with two pieces of gauze stuffed up both his nostrils.

I just emailed Russia's team. Must have been a clerical error to leave Lokti off the list.

DeKeyser was the top NCAA free agent for the last couple of seasons. Signed with Detroit and played in a handful of games last season. Projects as more of a steady stay at home guy.

Seems like the US invited quite a few younger players for the experience rather than a legitimate shot at making the team. John Gibson, Jacob Trouba, Seth Jones, Beau Bennett, Nick Bjugstad, Alex Galchenyuk, Kyle Palmieri, Brandon Saad, and Craig Smith would seem like longshots for the 2014 Games.

Bryz might've been good to play in the Olympics if he was with Sweden, but considering Volchenkov was invited to Russia's orientation camp, I don't see Russia having much defense to help him out. Their D will be similar to, well...the Flyers (Compared to other countries).

I feel like Galchenyuk could make it with a good camp.

Adam Larsson didn't get invited to Team Sweden's Olympic camp and Henrik Tallinder did? It's a sad, sad world.

Todd Cordell ‏@ToddCordell 2m
Related: How does Douglas Murray get an invite over Adam Larsson? Imagine Murray on big ice? Good god.

I'm pretty sure Sweden feels disrespected by Larsson for something he did. I don't remember the reason though. Read it somewhere.

They really wanted him to stay in Sweden for one more year and apparently he told them that was going to happen as the signing deadline for him approached.

I thought it was something more on the national level. Like he rejected an invitation to a junior camp or something.
