I remember that one too! I went to the one I mentioned and the very last one. That wasn't my favorite memory at all.

Off the top of my head the only one I would add was in early 2000s Weeks had a 1-0 shutout over Dallas. O'Neil scored. Amazing goalie dual.

Back from a week away from Internet (except iPhone updates of course)

8-6 came to mind, I was at that game and it was amazing, but another was in 02-03 in the rematch against the Wings. IIRC Jan Hlavac had a hat trick, and it was just a great night.

Last home game of 2011-2012 season, we didn't win a single shootout until Eric Staal scored, it was against Erik Cole and the Canadiens

April 9, 2011 would have been the undeniable choice. And I could say I was there. If only...

November 19, 2009. I remember the date because to this day that is the only time that all three of my teams have been in action at the same time. CRAZY night for me trying to keep up with it all. It's a shame that such a good game happened when I couldn't give it full attention, but I definitely remember looking at it long enough to see the game-tying goal and the shootout.

I don't remember a whole lot about that game except for the fact that I posted on Facebook about how awesome it was. So it must have been exciting.

yep, that was a great one. Brought one of my friends here at Duke (life-long Canucks fan) to his first Canes game for that one.

I definitely will never forget the Boston game two seasons ago when every single thing we did irritated them to the extreme and we just crushed them. Tukka came flying down the ice and Cam just stared at him like he was an idiot

Although the most memorable GAME (not win) to me honestly was for a negative reason... Boston scoring a short handed hat trick on one minor penalty

Yes. And Ozolinsh was on the ice for all 3 if I recall.

IIRC this one was a lot more recent. Ozo did indeed suck here though, mostly because we expected him to be that #1 guy only to find out he's flat out not capable of being a real minutes eater.

Ha, just noticed this thread! Among games I've attended in person:

04/04/09, vs. Pittsburgh: Ward stuffs Malkin on a penalty shot in the 3rd and then Babchuk scores on a bomb from the point in OT to clinch a playoff berth for the Canes

10/07/05, vs. Pittsburgh: My first ever Canes game... Ward stops Lemieux, Pallfy, and Crosby in the shootout for the win

11/19/09, vs. Toronto: Having a horrible season and trailing 3-0 after the first period, the Canes rally back to tie it 4-4. Toronto scores with 29 seconds left, but Cole scores with 2 seconds remaining to force OT and an eventual shootout win

01/11/07, vs. Florida: The Canes trail most of the game but come up with 6 goals in the third to win it

There was a game in 2005-06 against Detroit at RBC that was nationally televised (on OLN lol), and I feel like up until that point no one still really believed that we were actually a good team. The building was packed and rocking and I believe we won 3-2.

Also that season, Josef Vasicek came back in April after missing pretty much the entire season with his knee injury. His first game back was against Washington at the RBC and he had 2 goals and 2 assists as we won 6-5 in overtime. It was also a really physical game with a bunch of fights as I recall. I remembered thinking my god we are already awesome and now we have this big center who just exploded for 4 points coming off a serious knee injury. Unfortunately, that was about it in terms of his offensive production that season, but we won it all anyway.

While we're talking about games against Boston... I'm reminded of an epic comeback that I was present for:

It was just like Game 6 of the NBA Finals this year... everyone tried to rush back down to their seats after the tying goal. I wish they wouldn't have been allowed to do that. Even though we didn't win the SO (of course not), that comeback was one of my favorite Canes moments at PNC Arena.

I was thinking about mentioning that one too, even though it was a loss. That is definitely one of my most memorable games.

Well, if we're talking memorable endings to otherwise forgettable games, how about one from 3 months earlier in the same season (and I was at this one)?

Couldn't tell/remember who got the steal (Cullen?), but that was Ponikarovsky who lost the puck when coming down the ice on an empty net.

That was one of my Favs. I think pretty much the entire 3rd period was played at a 5 on 3 advantage for the Canes. But they only scored like 1 goal during that.

Also loved the game back in 2011 when Gleason took that puck to the face and then came back to tie it in the last few minutes on a break-away.

Was there for the OT playoff clincher against the Pens in 2009. Lot of hopping mad Pens fans there that night. Led me to falsely believe that if the Canes could get past the Bruins in the Playoffs, they should have been able to take the Pittsburgh.

Canes win over the Devils at home March of this past season during the regular season.

... it's the only Canes game I've ever been to, what can I say?
