He's 28 now, so 29 when that contract starts. The term is what is bad, not the AAV. If thats a 5 year deal for $5.75, not so bad.
well, his b-day is november, so he turns 30 about a month after the season starts. in any event, i agree the term isn't great...but they didn't really have a choice. clarkson got a 7 year deal and so did horton...i'm sure brown would have gotten the same if he'd become a UFA. there was no reason for him to agree to only 5.
