That said the guy has a serious health issue in his anxiety. I thought it was just a bs excuse, but having watched a short documentary on him, I kind of feel bad for the guy. Can't imagine having to deal with that on a daily basis.

Wow what a piece of work. The Sixers should just load this dude up with pills for a bunch of games and see if he can raise his stock and then trade him.

all he was good for is ensuring we get on the path to a complete rebuild. if not for him we may still be trying to contend for a 5-8 seed

I wonder if anybody still thinks Bynum could have played for the Sixers but chose not to. His prize is a 2 year contract to play in Cleveland, for only $6 mil guaranteed.

76ers owner Josh Harris, and his group in a pursuit to bid and purchase the NJ Devils,

Quote:
Sixers majority owner Joshua Harris and his investment group are considering the purchase of another professional sports franchise.

On Wednesday, Fox 29’s Howard Eskin tweeted:

“‪#sixers owners hve more going than finding HC. Highly placed sources tell me Owner Josh Harris and his group bidding on ‪#NJ Devils purchase”

Multiple sources with knowledge of the situation confirmed Eskin’s report, but they also indicated that Harris’s group has considered purchasing one of at least three different sports-related entities. The Devils are among those potential investments. Harris’s group, which includes former Sixers CEO Adam Aaron, is believed to be relatively small, but the acquisition team working on its behalf is at least 12 people deep.

According to Forbes, Harris is worth $2.1 billion. In 2011, he and the current Sixers ownership group bought the team for a reported $287 million. As of January 2013, Forbes valued the Sixers at $418 million.

Makes sense to move a team from the 4th largest television market. A team like OKC would be moved into Philly before the moving trucks left the parking lot.

Nj. I guess you dont watch the news. The sixers ownership group is interest in buying the Devils and their building. Why pay rent when you own a house up the street. Turn on the tv or radio once in a while

The Sixers have a "long-term" lease to play in the Wells Fargo Center that I'm sure would be very cost-prohibitive to get out of. Plus as was already said, you don't move a team from out of a market like Philly to go play in Jersey. It's just not smart business.

If they want to get out of the lease, there wouldn't be much to stop them. These guys have billions at their disposal, it would be pocket change for them. And I wouldn't be surprised if there is an attendance clause in the lease as well......

Exactly, leases are broken all the time in pro sports.
