It must be lonely on whatever planet he's on, far away from anyone wanting to sign him to a contract.

Canada's goaltending invites may be the least impressive group for a best-on-best tournament ever (for Canada).

He hasn't been in top form the last two years and struggled with injuries all last year. He might have too many question marks.

Yeah, Canes fans don't seem too shocked about it. But still, I would think he deserves an invite at the very least. I mean if Holtby, Smith, and Crawford are invited, it doesn't make sense to not give Ward his chance.

All true, but man is he ever important to that team. People always say he is over rated, but when he went down last year that team went to hell. It was sad to watch at times. Probably one of the more important players to a franchise in the NHL right now.

I'd be shocked if Price didn't win the job outright, and he's one of the best goalies in the league. But yeah, after him it's bleak

I kinda hope they can squeeze Carter on the roster somewhere, he's historically a beast in international play. I don't think Richards will make it with guys like Giroux, Stamkos, Couture, Eberle, and hopefully Carter forcing their way on. He'd be a bit redundant with Toews and Bergeron already (likely) on the roster

DFF I don't think naming the divisions Orr and Lemiuex would work. I would hate to hang a Penguin in our rafters when we win that division. Montreal would hate hanging a Bruin in their rafters. Doesn't work.

Fingers crossed for Gus. I like Grossmann, but we already know what he is. I'd like to see Gus turn into a superstar even if it's unlikely.

Kimo invited to Finland camp.

So far I think we've nailed every Flyers olympic player so far.

Voracek I think is the only one left.

I suppose. I mean I think when you are talking about guys like orr and Lemiuex, their teams don't matter. Or they could just go back to the way old school names of our childhoods. I'd like to see a couple more Patrick Division banners up there!

I'd be pumped to have Gustafsson find a spot on Sweden's team, but it's just very unlikely to happen unless they get decimated with injuries this season.

Karlsson-Kronwall
OEL-Hedman
Edler-Enstrom

Then you have Hjalmarsson, Brodin, and Larsson who are likely ahead of him at this point.

They are probably high on Gustafsson given his WC performance, but there's just too much depth ahead of him. Unless he plays at his WC level this season, he won't get much consideration. Unfortunately, he won't be in a position to play at that level with Timonen, Streit, Coburn, and Schenn ahead of him on our depth chart.

The probability of Voracek playing at those Olympics is about a gazillion percent, nothing to worry about I don't think we are so deep when talking about wingers

Yeah, it's a tough sell to squeeze Gustafsson in there, but you never know.
