Then you have Giroux and Lecavalier who will both drop em if they need to, but you'd rather they don't. Voracek and Timonen both recently got their first fighting majors either this year or the year before too. Although Timonen's was more of him just getting jumped by Letang.
You forgot probably the best fighter in the Flyers organization in Derek Mathers as a call-up & Coburn throws them here & there.

Mathers didn't show much promise in his AHL fights this past year.

Small sample size, literally 4 fights as a 19 year old. He's more of a smart & conservative fighter than a free swinger so his fights aren't going to be really exciting but he barely gets beaten badly when he does lose a fight.

Will chip in one or two:
Chris Kunitz
Matt Niskanen
James Neal
Sidney Crosby
Evgeni Malkin
Matt D'Agostini
If you're going to put Adams, you might as well add Farnham, he may have only won one or two fights, but that's more than Adams has won in the past three years.

This kid was overrated when he was in the OHL. Give me Daniel Zweep over Mathers any-day.

Brian McGrattan
Tim Jackman
Steve Begin
Shane O'Brien
Mark Cundari

Solid lineup. But I remember a few years ago when they had Iginla, Phaneuf, Pardy, Bertuzzi, Prust. That was a pretty tough team to play against if not the toughest.

Cam Janssen (ever get called up I pray not)
Ryan Carter
Alexander Urbom (Love the kid)

Will Chip in:
Adam Henrique
Bryce Salvador
Travis Zajac
Zidlicky is pretty feisty (granted he couldn't do anything but he would stick up for himself)

No heavies but a solid team to battle against. I like this type of makeup if you can do it, bunch of middleweights who can hold their own.

PREDICTION:
Every Leaf will have atleast 1 fight this season, except for Kulemin, Gunnarsson and Gardiner.

Sad to see that the Sharks went from tough guys like Ryane Clowe and Douglas Murray to punching bags like Desjardins and Burish.

Also I wouldn't put Torres up there, he rarely fights

Oilers:

Only guys who can really fight-
Brown
Ferrence

Smid will protect teamates.

Jones can fight, but rarely does.

Gagner has gotten in a few scraps, but not much to them.

Edit: Jones' eye injury will probably deter any more fights.

It's a great think we have more pure hockey players and less plugs. What was the list of Chicago's fighter last year? LA's the year before that? IMO fighting is something that is more or less relegated to the east and to teams who need something other than winning to keep fans interested.

The Kings had Clifford, Westgarth, Greene, Fraser, & Nolan on their roster at certain points during the year they won the Cup as well.

Clearly only the east coast teams employ these types of guys.
