Hamhuis

How is he doing? seems to be getting decent icetime but his stats are not showing it. last year he seemed heavily involed in the PP but now its seems he is not or am i wrong?

He has never been on the first PP unit. This year, he usually mans a point of the second PP unit, but every now and then Lehtonen works his way into his spot. He isn't going to put up huge PP numbers because he is our no. 1 PK guy. If there are a lot of penalties in the game, he is mainly going to play PK and ES.

as long as they win i guess its good, but last year with the same lineup he got 40 pts an it does not look like he will re-peat these numbers.

hamhuis last year with 38 pts, 20 even strength, 2 shorthanded, and 16 on the pp for what it's worth

I don't see him getting 38 points again as long as he keeps being given about 5% of the power play time and 95% of the penalty killing. Plus yesterday during the game, Jim Hughson (Sportsnet) was saying something like he's more the stay-at-home D-man now while Weber is the one who is joining the rush. Seems like a waste of talent for Hamhuis to be given only these kinds of duties.

I don't think Hamhuis, Suter or Weber are locked into any role right now. They're all 2 way defensemen.
