Only problem with that is, in the new NHL... 2000 penalties if you do that.

So what I thought of is, Buffalo's best used strategy is that they block a lot of shots. Shots that never get to the net can't go in.

I say, have your defense slap the puck as hard as they can all night, their players are going to become puckshy and block less shots. If they don't it will lead to injury. That's the way the entire league will probably make a laughing stock of buffalo half way through the season. Because if they continue to block everything, they're going to take injuries to their Offense who are blocking our Defenses shots.

I think it would work perfectly, they'd become all shy of the puck and would be thrown completely off of their game.

Their strategy is to block shots so other teams don't get the screen shots, good point shots, etc. Therefore forcing them to setup plays in the slot which they guard well. Then the team stops taking as many shots from the point and they breakup too many passing plays. I say, shoot more from the point until they're bruised and afraid of the puck. They'll become more hesitant, drop the puck more, etc.
Hahaha, that's the second one now....seriously dude, it still has to do with our 90 day initial membership period. You'll be able to vote and use a custom avatar after the 90 days are up.

Higgins 7-5-12
Souray 6-6-12

How is Higgins clearly our best when Souray is our PP savior? I mean I love Higgins and all, but Souray is a beast too. OHHHHHHHHHHHHHH what about Aebi? 4-1-1 with .921 s%

Higgins might take it, but not a clear cut winner by any means

I wrote this earlier and I find it applies here:

But Higgins has been consistently good every minute of every game. Souray has had good and bad games. Aebi has had good and bad periods. Higgins has just been money.

PK, PP, 5 on 5, shootout, you name it.

Like I said, Higgins wins, but not by as much as some people think.

I voted for Higgins but I agree Johnson deserves honourable mention.

Hmmm

I picked Souray, but I didn't see Higgins up there.

Top 5 players so far...

1. Higgins
2. Souray
3. Aebischer
4. Markov
5. Johnson/Koivu

Souray's only been good on the power play, his defensive work leaves alot to be desired. Higgins has been good in every situation he is called upon.

Its not so much that people think he should win it by so much...
but that so many people agree he should win it that impresses me

Im not quite sure i can fully appreciate what Higgins is becoming, just cause as a lifelong hab fan i am used to unreached potential and jumping the gun on players...but this kid can play!

I never looked at it that way. And yes I agree 100%, Koivu is the only player we drafted in round 1 that has really done anything special(well komi, but not as much yet)

Sad thing is that even Koivu is an example of a hab prospect peaking early then trailing off (of course injuries were the culprit in his case)

when Saks was leading the league in scoring, hab fans were getting ready for the emergence of a superstar

Just like there are certain places in the NHL where goalies go to have their careers murdered (Vancouver for example) I feel as though Montreal does the same with offensive talent...here's hoping im dead wrong!
