I feel like they are just putting C's and D's arbitrarily to protect themselves now. Thats disappointing.

Johnny Puck for Desharnais, Moen and a 2nd rounder in 2014

Almost as bad as Dandenault having a stickhandling rating of 99 or something like that on the game NHL (2007, 2008?).

Looks like someone was eating those alphabet cereals and picked the first letter that got on their spoon.

Do you guys think that Galchenyuk will remain an 8.5 C?

I see him getting to 9 C.

What's with all the D's on our prospects?

Who does these ratings?

There's almost a "What's the point" feeling after reading these probability ratings.

Some people in here are either really young or have a short memory.

It's really frequent that highly rated prospects bust, even after tey have reached the NHL.

There should even be such a thing as a "A" prospect, while "B"s should be rare.

In exemple, to become a solid NHLer, Tinordi will have to improve his skating a lot(not straight line obviously, but in the corners). If he doesn't, he will stay a #7 dman. So there's no way he should be a 7B. I think he's will be great btw, but I might be wrong.

Imo, Gallagher overachieved last year. Again I might be wrong, but if I'm not, do we really need a 30 pts / year, 5'8'' player on the 3rd line? That's why he's a C. It's second line or bust for him basically.

Some of our "surefire" prospects will bust miserably, while some of the lesser known guys will become solid players.

He's not ranked higher. He has a better chance of being a 3rd liner than Galchenyuk has to be an elite center, according to the ratings.

And I would rate an A because my upside is pickup hockey and can assure you it will remain that way.

You wouldn't get a 7 though, you'd probably get a 1 at best. More like a -3 to be honest.

I would think that those lettres are based on if those players were in the NHL today.

In that case, Louis Leblanc having the most experience of the bunch, has the highest lettre. Ditto Blake Geoffrion even though he should be removed.

I'm not saying Louis Leblanc is better than Alex Galchenyuk, but he'd be more successful in his role on the 3rd line than Galchenyuk would be if thrown into the top line centre, which is where they both project.

Check out some of their rankings from '08.

One in particular sticks out like a sore thumb.

It's been well-established that they only added new prospect rankings and haven't updated the old ones.

My question is: do they ever update old ones, and if not, why not?

Brotha Sergei was an 8.0 B.

O'Byrne had an A. I don't remember seeing very many A's.

D'ag's only a 6.0 C.

Interesting.

I'll finally put stock into the rankings the day I see George Parros listed as a 8.5 B
