Quick! I need help RE: La Banquise

So I decided to go get some poutine from there tonight.

What's the nearest metro station? Thanks!

At 994 Rue Rachel Est, between Boyer and Avenue Christophe-Colomb (pretty close to the Parc Lafontaine).

So nearest metro station to Parc Lafontaine.

metro Mont-Royal IS the closest metro to Parc Lafontaine... so we're both saying the same thing...

metro Sherbrooke is also close to Parc Lafontaine, but it's South-West of it, while La Banquise is on the North-West corner, closer to metro Mont-Royal...

La Banquise is best when you show up with some friends at 4AM on a Saturday night because you just don't want to go to bed and you're hungry.

FFS...I spent an hour roaming that area to find La Banquise before leaving Montreal last month...never found it...

I did however drive by it on my way out!

The #24 bus on Sherbrooke probably takes you a little closer than those 2 metro stations and you can take it from downtown on Sherbrooke. You'd have to get off near parc lafontaine (boyer or ave du parc lafontaine) and walk north 2 blocks to Rachel.

It was quite good.

I'm very jealous... There is nothing in the world I would want more than a poutine right now. I had a few friends over at my house and we had a few drinks. Now i'm very hungry and really hope I could eat something. A poutine would be my wildest fantasy.

Hope youre poutine was good

I went once this summer based on the recommendations of the board, and I didn't find it good at all.

I'm not a big fan of "exotic" poutine (read: anything but the original). But I might try one with onions and "steak haché". One day.
