This is going to be wrong probably within the next week or two. One of them has to go.

3-Laughton is rookie of the year
4-Voracek get 164pts
5-Powerplay put a 98%

1. Couturier turns heads arriving to camp a stronger skater and scores 38 points (16 goals ,22 assists) and starts to show his offensive skills while increasing his FO percentage and has best plus minus on the team. Malkin will continue to be his *****
2. B. Schenn shows up in spurts and finishes the season w/ 50 points (20 goals,30 assists) while playing LW and C on the top two scoring lines.
3. Emery starts off as the starter playing fairly well before getting injured (minor one). Mason then takes the opportunity and runs with it finishing top 10 in wins, sv %, and gaa.
4. Voracek wont keep up his 17.1 shooting percentage but will still manage to pot 23 and assist on 45 totaling 68 points.
5. Simmer is on pace for his first 30 goal season playing with Schenn and Vinny before missing 10 games with a concussion (puck to the head). Ends up with 23 goals, 19 assists while also knocking James Neal out cold with an uppercut right for taking yet another run at G.
6. Giroux will put up 87 points (32 goals, 55 apples) The nitpickers of this board will ***** and cry claiming he's not worth his contract because he couldn't hit 90.
7.The trend of Hartsy having a bounce back season and shutting up all the naysayers will continue. 27 goals, 25 assists
8. Vinny gives us 30 and 30 while sniping one timers from the right side on the 2nd PP unit with Schenn, Read, Streit and Couts.
9. Luke Schenn leads the league in blocked shots, hits and smashes Crosby through the glass (cleanly) causing him to miss time from lacerations and a shoulder injury. This will cost him the Art Ross and Hart trophy and Luke will be booed by 18,000 plus yinzers everytime he touches the puck again in ****tsburgh
10. Streit and Kimmo will lead the d in points but Gus will take a step forward and will recieve some of their PP time in order to help conserve their energy for the playoffs.

Well a team would actually have to want Bryzgalov or Leighton for that to happen seeing as both are currently unemployed.

I'm going to trust my gut on this one & say your liver should be fine.

1. Giroux breaks 90 points
2. Schenn has solid season on Lecavalier's wing ~ 45-50 points
3. Mason/Emery not spectacular, but solid most of the season minus usually ups and downs.
4. Flyers finish top 3 in blocked shots and hits
5. Flyers have three 30+ goal scorers (Giroux, Voracek, Lecavalier)
6. McGinn will make a few appearances throughout the season thanks to Shanahan suspending Rinaldo.
7. Flyers finish 2nd in the Metro and have a date with the Penguins in the 1st round
8. Laviolette survives the season
9. Read traded near the deadline to upgrade defense, Laughton called up.
10. Flyers advance to at least the 2nd round

That would require them to finish 7th in the conference and 4th in the division... We can but dream

1) Giroux puts up 88 points in 78 games.
2) Hfboards still says Tavares is better than him right now.
3) Hartnell has a good, 25g 25a, year.
4) Brayden Schenn has his first good year, around 55 points.
5) Coburn returns to normal and isn't as bad as he was last year.
6) Couturier scores 15-20 goals and adds 20-25 assists, gets no PP time, and faces the opponents best lines.
7) Hfboards calls him a bust
8) The goalies and Streit will help a lot with puck movement, but the team will still struggle defensively
9) Flyers have a decent season. Makes the playoffs but lose in one of the first 2 rounds.
10) Media tries to figure out how to make Giroux the scapegoat.

Ten predictions:

1) Braydon Coburn is the team's best defenseman this year
2) Flyers finish third in the Metropolitan Division behind the Pens and the Devils
3) Giroux breaks 100 points
4) Couturier plays better offensively but worse defensively
5) Scott Hartnell rebounds putting up around 30-30 numbers, but Voracek does not continue to improve, putting up around the same amount of points he put up in the shortened season (50 or so)
6) Emery and Mason both put up decent numbers, but neither really impress enough to warrant a big time starting contract next year
7) Timonen's age really begins to show and he winds up hurting more than helping
8) Brayden Schenn plays lights out all year
9) Matt Read is traded at the deadline for either picks or prospects
10) Lavy is not fired

1. Giroux will break the 30 goal mark and finish with 90 points.
2. Hartnell has a bounce back season and scores 30+ goals.
3. Voracek will take a slight step backwards and score 25 goals and 65 points.
4. Streit will take over as team scapegoat even though he'll score 45 points.
5. Gustafsson will play mainly 3rd pairing/2nd PP minutes and only score 25 points. Everyone will scream for Lavi's head for not playing him above Streit.
6. Timonen looks worse and worse as the season goes on while battling injuries and missing games throughout the season.
7. Coburn bounces back and while he only scores 20 points, he's solid in a shutdown role.
8. Mason fails terribly and Emery becomes the starter by default even though he only plays average.
9. Laughton is sent back to the OHL and looks good enough to be added to the Flyers playoff roster.
10. Flyers finish with a 5-6 seed and win a round in the playoffs before being bounced by whoever goes on to win the cup.

Pointless, embarrassing, a complete lack of Hockey acumen all come to mind as well.

I've never looked forward to the start of a season like this one. This team is capable of winning it all.

1) Giroux has a great season (90+ points)
2) Streit is dissapointing and is the whipping boy of the team, replacing Coburn
3) Coburn continues to regress and is traded at the deadline
4) Voracek finishes with 65 points after being moved off Giroux's wing to help spread out the offense
5) Schenn puts up 50 points on Lecavalier wing who also has a solid season
6) Couturier puts up 40 points and excells in the shutdown role
7) Timonen continues to be a machine, but still breaks down as the season carries on because he's over used
8) Hartnell has a great start to the season where by the 30 game mark he's on pace to score over 50 goals before he suffers a significant injury causing him to miss the rest of the season that results in a lengthy suspension leading to a game with over 300 PIM the next time the teams play
9) Emery and Mason are both ok and share most of the starts where Mason wins the starting job going into the playoffs
10) Ed Snider steps down as chairman at the end of the season (still sticks around with the organization in some capacity though)

1. Metropolitan division is renamed by the end of season.
2. Giroux continues to dominate on the PP but struggles with EV play ( as all flyers will) finishes at ppg but is a -5
3. Voracek plays at a ppg pace and maintains that pace no matter who centers him
4. Kimmo avg's less than 19 min a game and continues to struggle with playing consistent for 82 games. Is a trade deadline candidate
5. Schenn Gus and Coburn become huge minute players for us.
6. Streit looks like a PP specialist only, and gets exposed during ev situations.
7. Flyers will continue to struggle getting the puck out of their zone, and give up top 5 amount of shots in the league
8. Mason and Emery will have up and down seasons with no one taking command of the position and leaving us with question marks for the next season
9. Couturier is traded
10. We make the playoffs

  • Giroux - Voracek - Hartnell line will start out on fire and taper off in the second half of the season. They will end up with a combined 220 points.
  • PP will again be the team's strength and will be top 3 in the league; PK will be middle of the pack. Fortunately, they will climb into top 20 in 5-on-5 play.
  • Combined GAA / SV% will be 2.43 / .912. You math geeks can point out what that represents and how ridiculous they are combined; I'm just tossing out projected numbers.
  • Zac Rinaldo finds religion and wins the Lady Byng.
  • Yann Danis will get at least 5 starts.
  • No Flyer will return from Sochi with a gold medal.
  • Both Streit and Timonen will miss 15+ games.
  • 2-3 catastrophic world events will occur that prompt a host of "that really puts things in perspective" for secondary issues such as hockey. We will pretty much all lose perspective once again within a month of this happening.
  • Just to be contrarian, I'm predicting that the Flyers make it to the 3rd round, but lose in 6 games to the Ottawa Senators.
  • MiamiScreamingEagles will finally reveal that he is from a time-traveling race of advanced aliens, that HF Boards was all an unelaborate sociological experiment, and that the sheer stupidity of the Trades and Rumors thread alone caused them to rethink an invasion in 2012.

1. schenn - leads the team in goals
2. giroux - just over a point per game
3. we have 8 20 goal scorers
4. Mez - stays healthy, plays top 4 minutes most of the year
5. rinaldo - gets suspended once
6. b.schenn - gets suspended twice (both on perfect hits that shouldnt even be penalties)
7. read - signs a 4 year deal before the trade deadline, and does not get moved
8. kimmo - minutes will be cut quite a bit in the 2nd half, bc we are in a good spot in the standings, and we need him to be rested for the playoffs
9. gus - starts as the 6/7 guy, ends up playing top 4 minutes by seasons end
10. we make a deep run in the playoffs
