per Darren Dreger, they avoid arbitration

I heard his chin was a top contender to replace Kovalchuk on Jersey's top line. Thankfully we were able to keep him

Man he is one ugly *******. Decent 4th liner, though.

He is the opposite of this. He is a solid 4th line player, good skating, good forecheck, a big hit every now and again. If the Canucks could sign a left wing version of Dale Weise to play on the other side of Brad Richardson, they'd have a strong 4th line. With Sestito there, not so much.

Anyway they have about $5M in cap space now, and need to

A) Re-sign Jordan Schroeder,
B) Re-sign Chris Tanev,
C) Sign a 6/7 defenseman,
D) Sign a 4LW (or wait to see if one of the prospects makes it).

That's do-able - ~A = 1.1M, B = ~1.4M, C = ~1.2M D = ~1M.

What an uninformed opinion. Weise is everything you want in a 4th liner he's fast, decent defensively, takes the body and fights(Though he's terrible at it)

He's capable of doing more, but for what he will contribute next season, less then a million for a bottom line winger. Not bad, not bad...I hope he brings more to it this year is all.

Glad to see this. I think Weise still has upside, and he's a good 4th liner.

Hes a 10 minute 4th liner who can hit and fight and has a decent defensive game.

Will probably see more PK time this season, and has the skills to be a decent 3rd line type guy some day.

That was explained though...Wiese was going to fight a defenseman, McQuaid(?), and Thornton jumped the fight because he thought Wiese was talking to him.
