Voted for Jean by accident, but should be for The Mission, Hartford's most improved player last year.

This is a very comprehensive and solid list we have here, and I think it's damn accurate.

There's definitely talent in all of the tiers here and what's great about what's happened with the Rangers in years past is that the players drafted high have proven to develop pretty nicely while they've gotten some surprises rise from the ranks each year pretty consistently.

I think about a team like the Devils (who we are pounding in the around the NHL thread) prospect pool and it thins out pretty quickly. I'm wondering if their board even conducts these polls and if they do how quickly interest is lost after the top 10. Here we are still debating in the 20's. Not a perfect prospect pool but deep enough that there's a lot of hope there.

these prospect polls have made me value our prospect pool very much. we have hopeful talent in every tier, makes me very excited for the future even though we have no high potential game breakers like a Huberdeau or a Strome.

He should definitely get ranked. Can't believe he's getting so few votes, he really improved a great deal last season.

He obviously showed results briefly, then disappeared, forgot if he was injured pt.

The fact we saw he could make a showing was key.

voted Hughes, he just might be a NHL regular before any of the others, playing regular D minutes for a top Major Junior team, especially for the Hunter brothers, is great preparation.

add Wilson ;^)

Jean is 2nd oldest player on this list.
Also older than Stepan, del Zotto and Moore..

Only older guy in the poll group is also the highest-paid, Connor Allen.

Also, for his age, Jean is the least experienced at higher levels, just 2 years NCAA, and 1 pro, compared to all our other pro rookies from last year, or this coming year.
So he may be the biggest long-shot\project on the list.

Not saying i don't believe in him, just that he further to go in less time than most prospects.

minor correction to my statement above, Talbot, at 26+ is also older,
(also older than Mashinter, and Hagelin, Zucc, Brassard, McDonagh and Falk)

i don't think of him as a prospect, just minor league depth,

if the younger Mashinter, Valentenko, Pashnin aren't eligible, not sure why Talbot is

Nyr2k2 and I decided that he qualifies under the HF exception rule because he just received a one way contract for 2014-15 from the Rangers, meaning they view Talbot as a probable NHLer.
