Okay, last year I released a thread that asked you folks what you felt the player grades for the players specific to the 2012 draft. This year on the other hand, I would like for you all to expand on last year and tell me what you would like to rate them now based on an other year of work on the ice.
Collberg 8.5D(maybe I'm a little high on him, I think he's our best prospect)
Overall great draft.
Yours looks like mine. I see similar upside with Hudon and Collberg, was hesitant to label him a 8, and D a too. To me he's a very safe bet. Although, I ain't sure if his speed will be sufficient for him to reach "8" status... but he might improve it, so it's not impossible at all for him to be a first liner. I see him a bit like Patrice Bergeron personally, overall great player due to very high IQ. Regarding Collberg, I am not sure yet about the .5 extra... He has not shown dominance with adults yet, while Gally did. To me, that's the difference between a 8 and a 9... the gamebreaking and dominating ability. While I believe Collberg will be a great offensive force, I ain't sure he'll be great enough to be an elite in the NHL, hence my hesitation to go further than 8 for him. What do you think?
Alex Galchenyuk 9.0B
Sebastian Collberg 7.5C
Dalton Thrower 7.5C
Tim Bozon 7.0C
Brady Vail 6.0C
Charles Hudon 7.5D
Erik Nystrom 7.5C
Regarding Hudon's rating, compared to Thrower's, what makes you think, after their draft+1 seasons, that Hudon has a less likely chance to reach his potential, compared to Thrower? To me it would seem they both had very different seasons (Thrower being the horrible season, and Hudon the excellent season)... looking forward your input =)
