Sounds like both teams would keep their prospects and be happy.

Come on Habs fans, it's the Wild's top end prospect. If Habs want Coyle, one of Tinordi, Beaulieu or even Gallagher has to be included.

Not arguing for either player, but stats can absolutely be manipulated to argue almost anything.

Tell me again when Gallagher grows 6 inches and becomes a budding power forward. Coyle has the chance to become a great power forward for Minnesota and those take time to develop. He has the hands, the skating and the build.

Who the **** is Greg Pateryn?

Minnesota would ask for Tinordi/Gallagher most likely, maybe Eller?

Gallagher is fine the way he is thanks. Being 6 inches taller doesn't prove a thing. Gallagher has heart and a willingness to get his nose dirty. Add to that a nose for the net. I'm happy keeping Gallagher thanks.

Maybe coyle will end up better but Gallagher is better right now and as for the upside thing give me a break Gallagher was a top scorer in the whl and was drafted far only because he is small. Upside wise both have tremendous offensive skills Gallagher will put up more points but Coyle will be more complete.

After that depends on what are the teams needs. I wouldn't trade Gallagher for Coyle as a habs fan and i think they have really close value right now.

To get Coyle it would cost us Tinordi and i'm not willing to do it we need Tinordi a lot.

The op was quite ridiculous Pateryn isn't even a top 10 prospect on the habs he have 5th-6th upside and will probably a nhler someday but that isn't close to get a player like Coyle.

I love threads like this where a fan shows interest in another team's highly rated prospect, then the rest of the thread is spent showing how said prospect really isn't that good (usually to justify a lowball proposition).

And I could easily say that Gallagher is the next St. Louis with his size and style.

Cool. You have the Norris Trophy winner and an elite prospect pool. You're set. Now please leave our prospects alone. We're happy with our guys and don't want yours.

Counter-offer:

Coyle+pick

for

Subban

I hate the wild but this offer is just the usual from habs fans.

Style? Gallagher is a grit/pest type player and St. Louis is pure skill... horrible comparison.

Tinordi is basically our Tanev equivalent in terms of fanbase hype - times ten.

I do like the guy, but he is getting seriously overrated.
