Would be nice for the Impact to score a goal this time I was at last game, unfortuanate 0-0 tie and last year I went to the game against sporting KC, in the rain, also a 0-0 draw.

Wow, didn't expect that this morning! Great signing! Welcome Adrián López Rodriguez! As of recently, played with Wigan Athletic the last 2 seasons, and Deportivo La Coruña the previous 3 years, so he's definitely been playing high level soccer.

Also, Nelson Rivas has been placed on injured reserve.

I love how as soon as we put Rivas on IR we sign another defender with experience in the two best leagues in the world.

Ouff! A DM and a CB, just what the doctor ordered. And they both look like players of superior quality. Can't wait to see them in action.

This signing is.. incredible on paper. Wow. 26 years old, so probably will be our CB for the next few years. If hes as good in person as he is on paper,

My guess is that hes pretty quick as well. Since Wigan tend to play a back 3, your CB's need to be physically mobile.

in a span of a couple of days the impact got significantly better...it is really refreshing to see management recognize the teams weaknesses and not hesitate to bring in quality players

I sense a tad of irony in your post. And I completely agree.

On paper, this looks like a good signing. I really like the fact that our 2 new arrivals are 26 and 27 years old. Can't wait to see them on the pitch!

I smell the irony. But the Habs and the IMFC are in two very different situations. There's a lot more possibilities for the IMFC to improve than there are for the Habs. That's because the MLS is not the top league in the world. A depth player in Europe can be a regular in MLS, a regular in Europe can be superstar in MLS. The Habs are competing for the same pool of players as the 29 other teams in their league, and safe for a handful or two of KHL players, there aren't higher or equivalent level of playing anywhere else.

STILL, I do appreciate the Saputos being willing to invest on the team. I hope they sell out their stadium soon.

Great news! We will now be able to rotate Nesta, Ferrari and Piscu, everybody should be fresh for the stretch run. I LOVE IT!

I'm sure we can all agree that this is the best-run montreal-based team in years. I mean how on top of things are Saputo and NDS?

It's frankly incredible that they have been able to populate the squad with fairly high level talents under the age of 30. I honestly can't wait to see how the team gels after these latest pickups. So psyched!

Incredibly, Piscu is not a DP this year, though he is signed till 2015(plus option after that)

Given how close to the cap they are reported to be and the fact that Hernan IS costing the full $368k, I have to imagine they've done some "creative" structuring.

We won't know till the October release of info by the PA, but I assume he is making peanuts this year, in exchange for DP money the next year or two.

He probably has a deal similar to Nesta's: paid housing and paid car.
