They managed to get into the playoffs last year and the way I see it improved greatly in the off-season.
Zherdev is cut by them.

Maybe you are right, but they actually fired Zherdev couple of weeks ago.

It must have happpened while I was away so I missed it. Pretty surprising considering he came back from Ak Bars to Atlant only to be released.

Gudlevskis released from DR, Lightning bound. Would rather have seen him push Telqvist this season before leaving.

Good luck to Good-levskis. Hope he makes the NHL and shows his talent.

Adding Jučers on a try-out was a great move by Sejejs. I doubt they'll sign both of them, but whichever they'll choose they'll get for a bargain.

Still waiting on the first line LW.. Dinamo could alsi get rid of either Szczechura or Wilson and sign Sprukts instead (no way they can afford all three of them + LW) - he also should be really cheap by now.

Tambiev is awful, seen him during the Red Stars tourney a couple of times, completely one - way player.

In the season we will see. I heard that he was working hard and is one of the best u22 players in our system. Maybe only Kuzemnkovs is better.

Nizvijs on top line? also Bukarts should be on the 3d line with Meija and Džeriņš and Cipulis should be on the 4th line, but otherwise i agree.

The "no more additions to the team" scenario. The FW lines doesn't look good at all, we do need another LW.

Cipulis - Szczechura - Indrasis
Nizivijs - Wilson - Hossa
Bukarts - Dzerins - Meija
Upitis/U22 - Pavlovs - Skvorcovs/Kuzmenkovs
Bicevskis

K. Redlihs - Pujacs
Ozolins - Sotnieks
Cibulskis - Robinson
Lavins, Rekis, Porejs, Siksna

Tellqvist (Sedlacek)

If Robinson doesn't impress, I guess Sejejs might as well get rid of him early in the season - we have enough of D talent and a budget too small to really be able afford him on the third pair.

As I see we're discussing the potential U22 guys on the line-up, I would also add Jeļisejevs and Siksnis to the list of candidates. And I suspect that we shouldn't ignore that also K.Ozoliņš and Sarkanis are currently with the team.

It would be just awesome if we would have a top line LW - it would allow us to put Cipulis on 4th line (or replace Nizivijs, if necessary) - when was the last time we had a proper 4th line (an experienced and rather skillful player (no, not Ivanans) joined by decent overgrown juniors)?

Nizivijs and Hossa have very good chemistry, and i believe in Sasha.

Everything looks kinda ok, but I think Hossa should be in the 1st line and Cipulis in the 2nd line.

Well then the first 3 lines should be something like:

Hossa - Szczechura - Indrasis
Nizivijs - Wilson - RW
Cipulis - Dzerins - Meija

and put Bukarts in the 4th line

????

Well, I don't know how well can Hossa play as a LW, as his primary position is still RW. And I expect (at least for the beginning of the season) for Abols not to break up Nizivijs-Hossa connection from the "old days".

Agreed, yet, for the time being, we only have Nizivijs, Cipulis and Bukarts to choose from as LWs. That's the sole reason why in this line-up I also included Upitis.

I'm all for finally giving Bukarts a top six role. If we never intend on using his strengths then why even bother keeping him around because he will never be a third line player.

Just curious, has DR ever shown interest in Kenins? Just noticed he was voted top 3 players of the team from previous WC as 21y/o.

For me it's kinda funny how some DR fans questioned the expectations of other KHL fans for Dinamo's next season and yet you guys are all not too optimistic yourself about the strength of your players yourselves.

Most people here in Riga arent too optimistic about upcomming season its actually deep pessimism regarding Dinamo next season.

Some fans really have low expectations, but not all of them.

There's always basketball to look forward to, the youth results have been promising. Might be better than Lithuania now.
