I've only shot with one, I haven't used an RS for an extended period of time. They do seem to fail at the blade a lot. I personally love Bauer sticks so that's where my personal recommendation would be.

I mean, I have a "meh" stick in the Easton Synergy ST 2011. But now that I actually have money, I don't mind dropping money on a higher-end stick.

I don't know that much about kickpoints and such. I normally take snap and wrist shots, so that whippiness would help, I assume.

Any input is greatly appreciated.
Check out the APX. I'm a wrist and snap shot guy and I loved it.

Update: ended up getting the APX. The guy at pure hockey said you can't go wrong with any of the big three, but he thinks the APX is the best on the market.

Does anyone here use the Easton Getzlaff (E5)/Warrior Lidstrom blade? Is it me, or are these sticks ridiculously hard to find online and in stores?

I think you'll like it. The X:60 was the best stick I ever used, except the blade had crappy feel. The APX is the same thing with a better blade. Dual kick points help make all kinds of shots. Great durability too.

Not just you, they're simply not popular so stores won't tend to carry it.

Would a two piece stick work?

If you find a shaft you like then the kopitar/draper replacement blade is a 5 lie.

I'd say your chances are slim in that price range, unless you find something on clearance. But the problem there's that the p92 is pretty popular.

Yeap! Anytime I see one on a rack it's like I found the Grail.

I have a Getzlaf blade in my two piece I use, but Easton doesn't make the shaft anymore. And all I can find are $90+ when I was spending $30. Shoulda stocked up when I had the chance.

Does anyone know where you can find a listing of the top sticks with their actual weights? I'm curious if there are any sticks that are as light as the crazylight and still in the same price range, usually the sticks as light as the u+ are the $300 ones

Yeap. That's part of the idea, if one breaks or you want a different blade/shaft then just swap it.

Either you local hockey shop can do it. Or if you have a hot air gun and some glue gun sticks you can do it yourself in a few minutes. There's probably lots of howtos or videos out there if you google.

If you're basing that you want a lie 5 Backstrom curve on the fact that warrior calls their equivalent curve a lie 5 then you're in luck.

All Warrior curves are rated a lie behind Bauer based on the way that Warrior measures their lie.

A warrior lie 5 Kopitar/Draper will be virtually the exact same lie as a Bauer P92/Backstrom in lie 6.

My 5 lie Kopitar was similar enough to the P92 that it didn't make a difference in terms of lie and rocker, although the Kopitar did seem a little less curved/open.

If you hold up a Warrior with the Kopitar curve right next to a P92, they are virtually identical in terms of lie. There are slight differences between the two, as there are with all the similar curves out there, but the lie is basically the same. Small variances in the rocker can give a different feel, but the basic lie is the same.

If you hold up a Burrows and PM9, you'll find the same thing even though the Burrows is listed as a 4 and the PM9 a 5.
