Agreed - I have that game on my DVR and won't delete it yet. He played a hungry, offensive minded game, with speed, tenacity, and deceptive power down low. It was awesome.

Doesn't NHL Game Center online have archived highlights or condensed games for free?

I seriously don't know who to vote for. Do we have any established guidelines regarding potential vs. likelihood of reaching thtat potential?

No objections to excluding Foligno.

Luke Adam though is an interesting case. He's not eligible due to GP, but developmentally he hasn't "arrived"--or he arrived and then departed again. Would be interesting to see where people would rank him among our prospects.

Took Grigs, but the lack of a single vote for Armia is simply shocking IMO.

Add Ullmark. Gotta start getting his name out there now if I want him added by the time he actually should be ranked.

I just went back and watched that game again. It was certainly Grigorenko's best game and it reinforces the notion that he should be flanked by two veterans this season. He was dynamic.

...And some people think our prospect pool isn't elite!

I went with Grigorenko, but it's close between him, Armia, and Risto.

I went with Armia. His game against Canada at the WJCs was amazing. Loved every second of his game that day. When he is playing his game and confident he is our best prospect, and I truly think with good coaching is a 35+35 player is this league.

We have a great prospect pool with a lot of depth. What he need to improve is ELITE talent (top 3 pick most likely) like a MacKinnon, Tavares, Kane, etc. Also besides Armia, we lack any real big time scoring threats. We have a few playmakers but lack snipers.

Agreed. Or they need one of the higher end potential guys to break through at the next level, be it Grigorenko with the Sabres, Armia anywhere in NA, etc.... There is a lot of Missouri to the Sabres prospect cupboard at the moment: Show me.

What a talent pool! I voted for Girgensons because I want a team full of guys that compete as hard as he does. Add Tropp, another take-no-prisoners player.
On this list alone there are 5 defenceman that could be on the Sabres for the next decade. And some wicked potential in Armia and Grigorenko. I've been watching the Sabres for 30+ years and this is the best group of talent that Buffalo has ever had in the system.

This will definitely be the toughest top 10 in my 5 years on the boards here. Voted Grigorenko, add Compher to the list

The top 4 are interesting in your choices are a potential top line center, all around center, top line winger or top pairing defenseman. The question in ranking them breaks down for me to which position is most important to fill, followed by their potential to reach it. However, in a perfect world they'd all reach their potential and you'd have a solid core for years to come.

Awards:
1) Grigorenko by a little over Ristolainen
2) Risto
3) Grigensons
4) Armia
5) Zadorov

That could be an entire 5-man unit in the future and there isn't a ton separating them either.
