Cody Hodgson

What is Hodgon's value right now? What teams would be interested? I know Buffalo is not looking to trade him. I just want to get an idea of his worth.

Hodgson + ______ for a better center is the only type of deal he would be available in.

I would say a prospect or a talented 3rd line center.

Hodgson has progressed well every year he has been in the league. Last year he had a 25 goal, 58 point season over 82 games. He is only 23 and it is probably 50/50 whether or not he becomes a 80 point per year center. His value is very high.

Before other teams fan bases jump on us people have to realize Hodgson's tarnished reputation with Mike Gillis. The bridge has been burnt Hodgson is probably the least likely player to ever play for the Canucks again.

Just because our bumbling fumbling GM screwed that whole thing up doesn't mean Hodgson won't come back when Gillis is canned, which based on the past 2 years shouldn't be far from now.

The kid has amazing vision, a great shot, and so much potential. He will break out very soon.

What incentive does Hodgson have to come back to Vancouver? His reputation with the organization and fan base is tarnished. Hodgson will never, ever play for the Canucks again(I said the same thing with Roberto Luongo, so watch I be wrong again )

Nobody is refuting Hodgson's playing ability here, it just his relationship with the organization.

He can't play wing and has too much of an ego to play on the third line. So who do you expect him to bump down the Art Ross winner or the Selke?

Not to mention he's a defensive liability.

You think AV didn't like him? Tortorella would eat him ALIVE

They could have tried Hodgson centering the second line with Kesler playing wing, yet taking draws. Kesler has experience playing wing and looked good next to Sundin, so it would have been plausible, especially since Hodgson has always been more of a playmaker.
Not sure why they never tried that line combination out.

or
Hodgson+ for a better young Center

The shine is now coming off Hodgsons relationship with Buffalo management. Anybody notice a trend?

I don't even know what that's supposed to mean. As far as any of us in Buffalo have heard there isn't any strained relationship between Hodgson and management.

Not in the least. I cant imagine where you got this from, unless inferred from a person posting about his potential value as sign the Sabres are dissatisfied with Hodgson.

All indications are they are very happy with his progress last season and consider him to be a key/core player for the Sabres.

Edit: Ah, nm. I see where your comment is coming from.

I cant see us moving him yet. He will be our top line center this year, lets see if he can improve on last year first.

As for value, a similar young player with high upside?
