Really doubt it. Too much competition in the central.

Good to see the Jets locking up their guys long term to mid range deals. Gives them lots of flexibility. They've got lots of young depth too so going forward if they need to make a move, they can. It's amazing what a good GM can do with an organization in a short amount of time.

You need to watch bogosian play role then

Fair deal for both sides. I really wanna see Winnipeg back in the playoffs, that atmosphere would be electric.

McDonagh's deal has 3 group III years. This contract has 5 group III years.

That's real good.

Could be an absolute steal by year 3 or 4.

Some people around here need to study this post and learn its meaning.

There will be a test at the end of class

Great deal. Jets fans are rejoicing because we watch this guy day in day out and he's a beauty.

I have seen him play. He is a -42 in 297 games so far. He has had a -27 season and a -18 season. I'm not all about plus/minus, but I think its ok to look at very low plus/minus like a -27. After 5 seasons his career high is 30 points. This season he was on pace for just 34 points, so no real improvement offensively. Enstrom and Byfuglien are much better PP optoins.

So while he is in the same two-way mold as McDonagh, McDonagh is better defensively. McDonagh is a real shut-down 2-way (+54 for his career). If we ignore the plus/minus, he still does a better job of shutting down star players like Ovechkin. Bogosian I would not call a shut-down D...just a decent 2-way. If Bogosian was not picked 3rd overall, I dont think people on here would be gushing nearly as much about him

Don't like the pricetag (not just being a negative nancy), but it is nice to see a team locking up their core.

Two teams are the class of that division: Chicago and St Louis, after that it's a toss up.

I think the Jets have a better team than the Stars, Avalanche and Preds.

It should be an exciting division to follow, as after the top 2 it looks wide open.
