Get Black an inning. Anybody else is plain dumb with the DH coming up tomorrow.

Also worth noting that Watson had already warmed up in the previous inning, so might as well use him first. He didn't throw a lot of pitches, so I wouldn't be surprised if he just goes back out there in the ninth.

If Gomez is warming up and not just throwing for whatever reason, that's pretty dumb.

This guys not very good. A 9-1 lead in the 9th is not a very stressful situation...even if its your first home game.

Just throw heat and don't get fancy

Gotta be nerves, but this has kind of soured the 9-1 win, wasting some bullpen.

They should just take him out.

Yeah, I don't think we will see anymore "just move Black into the closer role" posts.

Yeah, I wouldn't want an inexperienced closer for us during pennant race. That's a lot of pressure.

Got no problem with him having a Hit batsmen. As they plunked us 3 times. Although Martin could have easily gotten out of the way of his, he took one for the team.

That's exactly why you let a young guy like Black pitch with a big lead. He battled through a tough spot and only gave up 1 run. GREAT K pitch. You have to be a 2 pitch guy at the back end. Can't throw straight gas. I'm fine with him getting into a little trouble. It's a learning spot.

Oh, and raise the JR!

Haha....Jerry Meals blows a call at homeplate. Huge play in such an important game, TB v. Boston.
