Didn't read all 5 pages ... but Brenden Morrow was a beast playing with those guys in the Olympics. Probably the best puck possession line I've ever seen that didn't have red-haired twins on it.

Not sure BMo has enough left in the tank to play that way for 82 games, but he's there to sign if they want him. I can see why Anaheim sometimes plays Beleskey on that wing.

A guy who is quick on the forecheck and can get the puck to them and clean up garbage. Kunitz is a good example.

I hate to say this for everyone who said Kunitz, They tried that the year after they won the cup. It never worked. It's, in my opinion, the reason Kunitz was traded. Morrow was great fit in the last Olympics. That line was put together after Benn didn't mesh with them. So with Ryan, Morrow and Penner as the players who in my opinion have had the most success with Getzlaf and Perry, you are probably looking at guys who fit that mold. Lucic is a guy I'd like to see. E. Kane is another interesting choice.

This is where my head went as well. Brad Marchand is a tenacious forechecker who isn't afraid to go to the dirty areas of the ice. He's real good at puck possessions and makes great plays off the half wall with his skating. He's good on the cycle and will find soft spots in coverage where he can get off a good shot and he's also an underrated passer. He's push the pace and is elusive one on one.

He'd certainly add speed and forechecking to an already great line along with real good offensive instincts in the offensive zone and can play numerous styles of hockey depending on what the other team is letting you have. He's also real good without the puck as well.

Hmmm i was thinking Patrick Sharp. Specialty is one timers can get them all day from getzlaf and puts the puck on net constantly for perry to put home some rebounds. Also has a good defensive game and is getting to be a better passer.

but really Ovechkin would be perfect

To reiterate a point already made: the best complement would probably be someone who is very puck hungry and hard on the forecheck. If they can find the soft areas to exploit for Getzlaf and/or Perry to find them, all the better.
Burrows

Was thinking Tyler Ennis.

Or Steve Ott, that would be sweet.

Homer vote:

There is no top line in the league that couldn't see a bump up in production with John Tavares repositioned on a top line in any forward position.

Brendon Morrow played very well with Perry and Getzlaf in the Olympics when Canada won gold over Team USA.

He's still available as a UFA.

Not sure why Murray and Burke don't try to sign him.

Thought this line was the 2nd best line for Team Canada in Vancouver to the Toews/Nash/Richards line.

Some good answers in here, but the ones I think are best are Marchand, Lucic or Sharp.

that is weird, because on the Pens Kunitz just worked playing with anyone, Staal, Malkin or Crosby.

Ovechkin - Getzlaf - Perry would be pretty incredible line.
