Yes. Good deal for Zucc. Prove it this year and earn a bigger payday next year.

yep just Stepan now which is a big one but it will get done

Zuc took a lower cap hit which is nice. They can waive or trade guys like Powe/Asahm before the season if they need to get under the cap.

Not really.

A player that has posted 34 points over 67 career games.

He's displayed a knack for making good offensive plays.

Tortorella preferred to use Boyle on the PP than Zuccs which was part of the Rangers PP issues.

1.15 is a fair contract for Zuccs.

no winners, no losers

fair contract

Good deal, Zucc's worth the investment. His play with this team has earned him a contract and a chance at a permanent job in the NHL, regardless of his size.

If Stepan signs for the same kind of money as McD, I don't even think they'll need to do that. Callahan and Hagelin are going to be out for the first 4-6 weeks, so that should give them cap relief should they choose to use it.

Extremely happy with this. He's a good player to have. At best he's a legit top offensive talent. At worst, he'll add some points here and there and bring some fire on the 3rd line.

Not bad at all. Sather rounding out an unspectacular, yet very efficient offseason.

It's unbelievable how good Sather/Gorton is at re-signing their RFAs.

He probably could have gotten more from KHL (though there aren't that many open spots left for foreigners) so I have to respect the man's conviction to play in the NHL.

Yeah, he's definitely determined to prove he can play here. Over the past few years he would have made a lot more money staying in Europe.

Will be interesting to see what he can do in what'll likely be a more possession-based system.

Nice deal for the Rangers...MZA will help the PP and should be good for 40pts which for 1.1 million I'll take.

Basically like Subban's deal. Prove it and then get paid more when the contract expires.
