I hope. But do you think he'll want to sign back here? He might want to test the market..especially if Bonk doesn't return..which is likely.

You could be right but everything I have read about this guy and how really meshes well with the team on and off the ice makes me believe he will want to stay especially when the playoffs role around this guy is going to be clutch come the ned of the season and playoffs. He has a family and most likley does not want to move for a 2nd consecutive year.

true.

Best case scenerio..Markov, Higgins, Komisarek, Ryder all get 4 year deals...Perezhogin, Johnson and Souray get 3 year deals...Bonk and Abby get 1 or 2year deals...Rivet..well I donno bout him, same with Niinimaa.

I can dream right?

Once again Johnson is having a great game so far, him and Bonk compliment each other so well.

I like it

This is one of those acquisitions that pays dividends with minimal investment. MJ has played really good for us and is a big part of the special teams success.

Nice work Bob G!

What is it with Johnson often being on his butt after scoring? Never the less... loving this acquisition more and more everyday!

i don't care if he is on his stomach after he scores, as long as he keeps scoring. I want to see a 20 goal season out of him.

When a guy is going all out he sacrifices his body to score.
I have also noticed he had started to finish more of his checks.

He has been great, but I'm a little wary of playes in contract seasons. We'll only have one season to back our info on.

At the time of the trade, Johnson was ecstatic about playing in Montreal, he was thrilled about playing in a hockey mad city...combined with his good start to the season, this has been a great move by BG...I love to hear about guys who actually want to play for the Habs, it makes a big difference, and hopefully this will help attract others to want to come to Montreal...

This thread is about Montreal's Johnson, not New York's Wang. Get with the program!

don't be wary...hes doing an unbelivable job on the 3rd line (he used to be considered a top 6 winger) with almost no PP time! If you look at his stats, he's been very consitant throughout his career (0.61 ppg).
