Cabrera is closer to a Stamkos (lots of HRs and RBIs, like Stamkos for goals and assists, pure offense). I think Trout is more like Datsyuk, puts up very good numbers (not like Stamkos), but has an amazing two-way game.

There's also the whole will he go to college thing with all high schoolers, which often sees players drop come draft day.

great news.
Good to here. If I have to watch a team suck I would at least like to see some of the future Phils get a shot.

Most people said after Young signed the one yr deal that Asche would be at 3B next season.

Salisbury saying that Susdorf is being sent down, which would mean that is the corresponding move, Young may not be getting traded, at least right now.

Can Brown play tonight? When did he go on the 7 day DL?

How many players that are in the MLB, do not follow this track. Some of you are saying yea, this guy has been in the minors for 5 years, but that means he'll be there longer if he has to play every level for 1 year.

Also, the Phils squashed some of this thought process with Franco and Asche, neither one of them played an entire year at A (I think)
Asche was a college player he entered the system at 21 compared to the other examples you who listed entered their teams systems at 17 or 18 out of high school.

Harper, Trout, & Stanton all played in A but didn't stay there for too long.

I was going for the really young and very, very good aspect of the comparison.

So this would be odd, you send down an OF for a 3rd baseman, unless a trade is in the works and an OF is returning?

Salisbury on the trade train now. Susdorf might be sent down basically because he has no right to play OF in the MLB, but maybe an OF is coming back.

They can be told to go play out there, but most of them aren't really OFers

Nix - Below Average
Young - Below Below Average
Ruf - Below Below Below Average
Frandsen - This one confuses me, I don't remember seeing him play
Mayberry - The only real OFer this team has right now.

I definitely want Bogaerts coming back for Lee. He's a cy young, all star pitcher locked until 2015. I'm tired I've getting annihilated in these trades. For once I want the Phillies to actually get something awesome in return for losing a star. It's painful enough to see Lee go, especially after he turned down other teams cause he liked us more and for being a fantastic pitcher.

If Lee is leaving than it should be so we can rebuild our team. Bogaerts is amazing. Get him and we are well on our way to restarting again without losing 5 years rebuilding.

I think the only way you get Bogaerts is if its Lee & Hamels with Philly paying all of the salary.

I think Amaro is going to have to come off the zero salary being retained to get Bogaerts coming back, which would be fine by me.

There are a bunch of people that follow this kid and basically call him an MVP candidate and will not move in any deal.

The dream is over for this kid.

That's fine and I have read all the hype, but to say the only way he's moved is for our two best pitchers and covering all salary is just silly
