Good question. I never really had a player I really 'idolized' when growing up.. I hated Roy because I was a nordiques fan before they moved away.

But post 95 my favorite is probably Higgins. Pretty sad considering it's been over 10 yrs..Just hard to love players like Juneau or Audette.

Koivu also has a special place in my heart, as he's been with us all his career and has been an outstanding player and captain for the club.

All time? I would have to say Dryden, followed by Beliveau and Richard. Currently Saku no matter all the flack he gets nobody has more heart on our team then this guy when you think hes down for the count he comes back harder and stronger just making everyone around him better. Plus back when I was younger going to practices, trying to get autographs he was the first one with the fans signing going out of his way to appreciate the fans showing a great example of being a stand up guy off the ice and years later still is.

Not to poop on Koivu or your Thread...But Koivu isn't a "dominant" player, he's a good player.

I agree with most of what he has said so far this season (Sammy and Kovy being selfish), as will most hockey analysts.

Are you trying to say that generally, since he retired, you agree with even most of his comments?

Not that there's anything wrong with that.
