I'd like to get in a league with guys from this board.

Looks like there is enough interest for 2-3 leagues. I volunteer to run a 12-man league.

What do people have against 12 teamers?

Doesn't matter one way or another to me between 10 and 12... but anything beyond 12 and there just isn't any depth and it's a total crapshoot, if it wasn't big enough of one to begin with.

I don't like 12 because it waters down the teams too much IMO. with 10 you can still make decent FA moves if you need to, with 12 you're basically ****ed by injuries/bye weeks.

Don't even get me started on the sitting of guys on good teams at the end of the year.

Yeah, I pretty much feel the exact opposite

10 mans are too easy, there can be so much on the wire and that takes the fun away of actually building a good team and trading when necessary.

another huge reason i hate 12 is because it slows the draft down considerably. Seems like those two people add at least 5min per round.

makes me even more impatient.

If I started a league, I'd have 30 second picks max.

That's ridiculous. Are those extra 10 minutes that important to you?

Not so fast. If I remember correctly, I had to play you 3 times last year (1st playoff round being the 3rd), and that was majority of my losses. I believe had I not lost a tiebreaker to drop to the 2 seed, I would have played you in the finals and based on my points in the final round, and your points in the final round, I would have won!

Excuses, excuses though. I still have my original $25 on league safe. Got 3rd in Football and Hockey - so money back both times. Planning on never having to reload.

Exactly. You draft once a year, who cares if it takes a little longer.

I do at least 5 drafts every football season, so yea, when people take the full 1.5-2 min to draft every round, it adds up to far more than 10 minutes.

There's also no reason it should take that long anyway since if you're actually paying attention you should be able to queue up several guys from one pick to the next.

I have:
~5+ drafts for football season
~2+ for hockey
~2+ for baseball
~occasionally I'll also do a basketball league

all those jackasses taking their full time every round add up.

10 team leagues are too stacked...12 team leagues are perfect for balance and really challenges gm's to make tough roster calls and picks.

more like one injury in a 12 team league and you're basically ****ed.

12 team leagues have one huge advantage- If you're one of a few guys in it who follow football religiously, its basically easy money, and its more money than a 10 team league.

However, in a competitive league, 12 team waters down the teams too much and there's a huge emphasis on draft position/injury luck.
