9. C Nick Shore 39.3% (LW Nikolai Prokhorkin 27.9%, RW Brandon Kozun 11.5%)
Vote in: Roach 6, Fasching 3, LaDue 1

Vote in: Fasching 8, LaDue 2, Dowd 1, MacDermid 1, Auger 1, Hyka 1

Voting Mersch again.

For the add, I'll go with Hyka. Not great he is going overseas this year, but I still like his upside.

Write in who should be added next.

Had to skip 3 spots on my list but the highest guy I have left is Jones. Add Auger.

Voted Miller. 20 goals 55 pts, Captain, Mickey Renaud Award Winner, and got a 3 year deal, speaks volumes.

Add Auger. Heard his draft year, he grew 12 inches over about 1 year period and was in continuous, physical pain...so it really affected his play and he wasn't drafted. I think this past year, he was getting used to his size and it must have been difficult as well. He is indeed a project, but has real upside.

Voted Kozun. Are we going to lose Kozun this season like we lost Hickey last season?

I'm not positive but I think Kozun is still waiver except for this coming season. That said even if he isn't any team that picks him up would have to keep him on their NHL roster so it's likely he'd pass through this year unless a team is in love with him and convinced he's NHL ready.

I believe they only have to keep him up for a month. After that they can send him back down (subject again to waivers).

Czarnik?

Wow, he's at the bottom of my list out of all the prospects. Great skill, but doesn't look like he added weight and produced 1/4 of his rookie AHL numbers.

He is NOT exempt from waivers. A team like Calgary that is desperate for some scoring help might take a flyer on Kozun, but I would guess he will clear waivers.

Czarnik had an AWFUL season. I mean really regressed. Odd tonelli, why would he above Hyka, Brodzinski, LaDue, MacDermid, Dowd, Lowry? Just curious...

Maybe Kozun takes Brad Richardson's spot as designated healthy scratch forward???

Don't see it. Kozun is still a young developing prospect. Don't see him staying with LA and not playing much.

Not too mention that Kozun does not have the versatility of a Richardson. Kozun is a scoring line forward, not a grinder or energy guy at all and does not play C like Richardson.

And lastly, how would he fit on the roster?

Brown - Kopitar - Williams
Frattin - Richards - Carter
King - Stoll - Toffoli
Clifford - Lewis - Nolan
Carcillo - Fraser

Who would he displace? Don't see Kozun as a reliable 3rd/4th liner compared to any of these guys. And certainly don't see him making it on a scoring line over Frattin or Toffoli.

Voted Jones. I'm sure there'll be the people who say he had a bad year but a lot of those people are really talking out of their *****.

I'd take Czarnick over Hyka, MacDermid, and Lowry and around the same level as Dowd and LaDue. Only one I'm not sure where I'd place is Brodzinski but that doesn't mean he's above the others.

I wouldn't. Dowd, LaDue,Lowry and MacDermid have much better shots of NHL careers compared to Czarnik. Hell I actually think that Hyka would get an NHL game before Czarnik.

I would take Lowry Ladue and a couple others above Czarnicksaszuks too but felt his name should be brought into the conversation. He would rank below BK NikD MnM and a few others too but since we were asked to suggest a prospect to add I thought I would through his name into the ring.

I don't think it's too far fetched for him to be added now. I don't really care who gets added at this point but I can see Robbie being one of the next few left to be added.

Rob has the skills to make an NHL career. He is his own worst enemy at this point but some guys take a bit longer to get it all together. He could come back right on track and end up in the NHL with another team in two or three years, it wouldn't surprise me at all. He is a Sim/Smithson type.

Exactly. I like his potential a hell of a lot more than some guys in our organization. Hopefully he took this past year as a challenge to get better.

I think Deslauriers is the pick here, however, rather than wasting my vote, I voted for Kozun.
