I could see the oilers taking him for a 4th line C.

we would be lucky to get a 4th for obrien, he is a good player for his role but in the end (as of right now) he is a 4th line player, we dont have room for him in the lineup and if we dont trade him we will lose him on waivers

o'brien for a 6th or o'brien+6th for a 5th is what we might get out of him imo

Maybe we should throw in Brad Peltz in there

Did you even read the thread? In what world is a 6th round pick (what most here are expecting for him) a 'big return' ?

Ya the Leafs can buyout Liles... feel free to claim O'Brien when he hits waivers at the start of the season

The Sens should obviously keep him. No harm in keeping him as the 13-14th forward. You can't run with just 12, and you can't have your top prospects be healthy scratches.

Or, the Sens could trade Greening, a pending UFA, and play O'Brien. Instead of inevitably losing Greening for nothing.

Or just resign Greening?

Can he take on the heavyweights in fights? I know the guy hits quite a bit and can score a goal once in a while. If he can play the enforcer role, while simultaneously playing some actual hockey, I'd love to slot him in ahead of Mike Brown.

I'd be happy just getting rid of him, lol. He's a 4th liner that can go on "hot streaks" and look like a 3rd liner for about 2 weeks/year.

I loved his energy in his rookie season, but he has lost some of it since. He doesn't have that "i need to prove myself" attitude some Rookies have, and that's the part of his game I always felt was the most valuable.

Him and Da Costa should be traded to the highest bidder.

O'Brien for Edmonton's 6th round pick would be a great deal.
Where do I sign?

I don't think he can fight at all, really.

He's an energy guy (in terms of his forechecking and skating) but not tremendously physical.

Kind of a Patrick Eaves kind of player.
