Nope. I don't anticipate going again this season to be honest.

Yeah, if I had a broken leg or something, I would definitely go to an amusement park.

VIP line skipping, baby. You could probably get on four or five times the number of rides you otherwise would've been able to with crutches or especially in a wheelchair versus just standing around like us worthless walkers.

So in other words, it's been a ****ing awesome day.

I started lifting again sunday, after not for like a year and a half.

I've lost a ton of strength and i can barely move anything in my upper body. I'm terrified to do legs tomorrow.

Switching back to Lifetime in a month, can't ****ing wait. Will finally get to add swimming into my weekly routine, and have some friends that want to start playing squash. That is the best possible way to get a cardio workout, it's freaking insane.

My power went out last night. They were digging the water main and I guess went too far. It sucked, went to bed at 10:30.

Lolla doesn't do justice to bands like the Keys, the atmosphere doesn't suit their kind of sound, and that applies to a lot of other bands as well.

Meanwhile, as I was working the snack bar at the park district pool last week (on a casual volunteer basis) my coworker (who has an amazing taste in music) introduced me to a band called Hacienda. She told me they were produced by Dan Auerbach, guitarist and vocalist for the Black Keys, and I was immediately intrigued, because everything he touches turns to gold... *puts on sunglasses*

...on the ceiling.

Very impressed with Target Field and Miller Park. Food wise, both have a great selection and great quality and both have a good variety of local brews on top of the standard. Target Field has a great atmosphere with live music, a view of Minneapolis, and some nice bells and whistles to bring you into the game. Overall, it's gorgeous. Miller Park has a lot of personality and is a lot of fun.

I will say that where I sat, section 122, at Target Field had a ****** angle. It was at the end of the aisle before the pay scale changes so I understand why. It was tolerable but could be better.

I don't understand how you can say a festival atmosphere doesn't suit the Black Keys. They kind of made their name playing festivals (among other avenues). Almost any band will tell you playing festivals and the festival circuit are the highlights of performing live.

Went to New York for a couple days with a friend, had a good time. I'm done travelling for the summer though.

Did anyone go anywhere interesting?

Sure, it's what made them big, but it's still not the ideal atmosphere for their kind of sound. Concerts at places like band shells, restaurants/pubs, and arenas with good acoustics are what best suit the Keys IMHO.

Also, is anyone a fan of Great America/your local amusement park? Just want to know what your guys' favorite rides at your local parks are.

Anyway, yesterday was the better of the days so far. The Lumineers were great as well as Mumford and Sons. Today should be interesting as well. The Cure is playing a 2 hour set which should be pretty sweet.

Not really a big music guy myself, but we have a "big" festival down here in September ever year called Music Midtown. Might go for the hell of it and just to hang out. These are the bands they have listed on their site, but I could have sworn they have way more than these bands...

Red Hot Chili Peppers
Journey
Queens Of The Stone Age
Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Imagine Dragons
Phoenix
Jane’s Addiction
Weezer
2 Chainz
Kendrick Lamar
Cake
Tegan and Sara
Arctic Monkeys
The Black Lips
North Mississippi Allstars
The Neighbourhood
Capital Cities
ZZ Ward
Drivin N Cryin
The Mowgli's
Mona
Reignwolf
