Daymond Langkow

In what so far has been a dismal season for the Flames, Daymond Langkow has been a bright spot. He has 11 points thru 12 games and is second team scoring. He plays on the powerplay, is great on the PK, and is an awesome two way player and seems to be always in the right place at the right time. Langkow is probaly the most consistent forward the Flames have in all aspects of the game. All Langkow lacks would be a better fininshing touch on the offensive side of things.
But he has leadership, grit, and determination and does all the small so well that don't get noticed. Doesn't this kind of player sound like a #1 center?

Not only Langkow, but Iginla, Phaneuf and Lombardi have all performed well offensively.

I like Langkow. I like him on the Flames. I just don't like him as the first line center. It would be a glorious day if we could have a true #1 center and Langkow on the second line.
