Mac is gonna have to really step it up for a bottom 6 job. Vail should be a lock if he's just above avg.

Disappointing 1st from Vail, didn't get much ice time and didn't do much.

Nice setup by Lehkonen as he got rid of the puck in a hurry to setup the goal. He looks a little bigger then he did at last years wjc's.

So how did DLR impress specifically. Did he get any solid scoring chances?

I noticed that he looked like a smart passer from his highlights so even if his shot doesn't develop, I think he can still be extremely useful top 9er.

MTL's Lehkonen makes it 3-1 FIN. Nice tip goal after a great set up from.... CHI's Teravainen.

Don't look now but it's engorged for Lehkonen, as well.

I'm not expecting Mac to be overtly impressive this year. Next year will be a better indicator, for me anyways.

Love to hear good things about DLR, Collberg and Lehkonen. That would be amazing if Collberg could be one of Sweden's main engines for offense this year.

Also love hearing that DLR played some center too.

Hopefully Lehkonen can continue to get bigger.

So far so good!

He already was last WJC...heck you could argue he was one of their main engines for offence in the WJC before that one (his draft year) when he finished 2nd in points on the team!

He should average around 1.5-2 PPG in the upcoming WJC in Sweden.

Yes, but it seems like Teravainen is just owning **** up today and he's playing with him, so let's not get too excited.

OK, get more excited, lol.

Corey Pronman ‏@coreypronman 1m
MTL's Lehkonen ties the game up with 10 seconds left.

Chris Peters ‏@chrismpeters 3m
With the extra attacker and only 10 seconds left, Lehkonen scores to tie the game. Got a feed in the slot and showed quick release to score

Chris Peters ‏@chrismpeters 5m
Overtime at the #NJEC. 5-5 after regulation. Lehkonen has a hat trick as he tipped that Teravainen one-timer from earlier for the goal.

This confirms he had 3+1:

I'm sure Galchenyuk could fill in as an ersatz TT!

Any chance we can see some vids of our prospects' points?

Lots of people didn't know Lehkonen this morning and now everyone sees him in their soup. Please lads, a single game shouldn't change your opinion of a prospect.

For those who didn't know him, that's what a goal scorer does when paired with one of the best prospects in the world in Teravainen. We have a good prospect in our hands, but he has his flaws, and he has concussion issues.

Enjoy the show, and be patient.

I've known him well before the draft. Some people will over-exaggerate, but I'm just happy it is re-affirming his potential.

Lehkonen highlights:

It was undoubtedly the Teravainen show today, he was awesome. Lehkonen played well, too, but Teravainen stole the show as far as forwards go.

Thanks for the highlights.

Looks like Lehkonen is just a lethal scorer. He knows how to put it in the net. I loved his deft deflection. He also knows how to weave in and out of traffic to get to prime scoring locations.

A good game from Lehkonen since he was involved in 5 goals and his line was buzzing all night (Lehkonen TT Kapanen). He's got to work on improving his lower body strength as he got knocked around easily but it was good to see him getting right back up and not shying away. Adding an extra gear would be great for him as well.
