Pretty awesome that McNabb Larson and McCabe are going to be our 7th 8th and 9th best prospects.

I'd bet that Compher beats out at least one of them but awesome nonetheless. Such a solid pool depth-wise.

Quite possible. One of those 4 at 10? Drool worthy. Already excited for next years draft

Don't forget about Hackett in that group. I could see him getting consideration over the next 5 spots as well (after Pysyk/Zadorov ofc).

Holy ****, 53 to 53.

This is going to be the closest one in the entire rankings for sure.

A fun exercise?

Go through all the NHL teams, and take their #3 overall rated prospect...see where you think you would rank him if he were ours.

I'm in love with Zadorov's upside which is why I'm picking him, but Pysyk and him are so close, if you were to ask me who I think is the better prospect, I couldn't give you an answer.

I'd be all for calling this a T-5 and skipping to seven based on how close it is... It's almost unfair to call the loser of the poll #6

I literally can't choose. I was for sure going with Pysyk before it came to this. But there is a good argument for Zadorov too. I just can't decide.

While I agree that Zadorov has the higher ceiling, I think Pysyk is as close to a lock to reach his ceiling as a prospect can be. With Zadarov, I think it's going to be a long road to the player that his voters are envisioning.

The likelihood of reaching their respective ceilings has me voting for Pysyk.

I think Pysyk's ceiling is also still pretty damn high. I think he can become 2005-07 Tallinder, with more offense. Zadorov may have the potential to be an absolute beast, but we're still talking about top pair potential for Pysyk.

I chose Zadorov. His defensive abilities, his growing offensive production, his physicality and hitting, and his willingness to fight won me over. He seems like a much more complete package than Pysyk although I love Pysyk too.

Pysyk seems like the safe option like everyone else has said - almost a lock to be a top four defenseman but potential-wise I think Zadorov offers so much more and all of that just so happens to be a lot of what this team has lacked for so long.

Zadorov, add Flynn. The add was easy for me. Flynn deserves some recognition.

Or we could make this poll for 5 and 6?

There is really no purpose doing a poll for #6. Just add the two top names that people want to #7 as well.

Zadorov is going to have an opportunity this year to be first-pairing, all-situations with the Knights. Given how his game was coming on offensively to end the year, particularly by the OHL finals and into the Memorial Cup, progress from that point would be steller. He has #1D potential already and a great opportunity to get high-quality minutes on one of the best development teams in the CHL who also happen to be hosting this year's Memorial Cup. Add in the WJC's, he's got a path that could very well be akin to the rapid development cycle that Myers went through in his post-draft season. The opportunity is there. I don't see that potential #1 D position in Pysyk, as much as I like Mark's game, and that makes Zardorov tight to the pack with the likes of the other top 5, above that next tier of quality prospects that includes Pysyk, Compher, McCabe, Larsson and McNabb.

I have him higher than Pysyk based on his potential. Pysyk is a fine choice and next for me, love his heady game, stick and feet skills -- his head for the game is just great.
Pysyk is solid top 4 Dman based on full potential....

Zadorov has that top 2 potential given his size and physical side.

Not sure if JBuds wants to keep going with this or who is posting the next one, but I think it's time to call this and award the loser the next win. We can all agree they're going to win it anyway.

I'm going to go ahead and post the next one in a few minutes.
