That'll be a big boost to the Tips if he is reporting though I wonder what would happen to Muller. He'd be the only one they can trade.
Müller gets put on a special list for first round NHL picks that allows Everett to hold the rights to the two 96's they selected.
If Nikolishin is reporting and Müller comes back, I'd guess that Hopponen would probably be the odd man out and would either sit on their protected list or be released.
Despite being selected 10th overall, he's just not the same caliber as the other two.
It seems, that all drafted SLovak players will show to their teams -
Dávid Šoltés (f) and Martin Boboš (d) - Prince George Cougars
Matej Paulovič (f) - Peterborough Petes
Juraj Šiška (f) - Saint John Sea Dogs
Timotej Šille (f) - Val dOr Foreurs
Adam Haščič (f) - Spokane Chiefs
Daniel Gibl (g) - Barrie Colts
Adrián Sloboda (d) - Ottawa 67s
There is still question about Siska, because he was badly injured in the end of last season. But according to this article, Sea Dogs will wait.
Soltes and Sille could be the key players. Sloboda also, but he will need time.
I believe both players the Blades selected will be with the team. David Nemecek played last year with Sarnia and sounds excited to join the Blades. Nikita Sherbak also sounded like he intends on coming. Hopefully it happens because the team could use his skill.
1) Osipov's agent is full of *** trying to say that he turned down KHL money to come to WHL blah blah. He only said no to KHL because he was drafted by Amur and was visibly upset by that at the draft. He's not nearly as humble as he's being made out to be. BTW if you don't know Amur, type it in google and you will see why he doesn't want to go there.
2) Who confirmed that Tkachev was reporting? Another guy who changes his story by the week. Last I heard of him was last week when he said he was going to wait to see how Omsk's cam turned out for him. Basically if he is in the KHL he stays, if he gets demoted he's gone. His best option is to play in the VHL where he would face a stiff competition, see lots of ice time rather than go back to juniors or to the KHL where he aint gonna play a lot.
To be honest, I am still a bit confused about the situation of the German players Eisenschmid, Kammerer, Eder and Sedlar, who confirmed they will play in the CHL. Strange, that there is still no mention e.g. on eliteprospects.com.
Only Tim Bender (together with Artem Klein, Kevin Reich, Kai Herpich) will stay in Europe and play for Salzburg II in the Russian MHL.
Moreover, although it is not the CHL, the German prospects Janik Möser, Marcel Kurth will play in the USHL, Tuomie Parker, Lukas Laub, Lennart Palausch and Erik Gollenbeck will play in the NAHL.
Have to give Baie Comeau's scouting staff credit. Looks like they stole another quality euro with a later pick. He could be this season's Zykov.
I guess they know what they're doing. Since he's 19 year old, he could be a one-year wonder and play elsewhere next season.
His 5 goals came in the last two games of the training camp against Rimouski (6-0 win, 3 goals - 3-4 loss, 2 goals). It was his first two games in North America and both teams had a few solid veterans out, but still played their top prospects and some older players. Preseason means nothing, let's see if he and Zykov will form the best (and only?) russian duo in the Drakkar history!
Baie-Comeau is going for the M-cup this year. Hope they will get a shot at it, it's always nice to see the smaller CHL clubs get some success, especially after some really (really) bad seasons.
