Bahaha...that pic is priceless.

40 to 50 pts IMO if he can stay healthy for the majority of the season.

He's capable of putting up more than 50 points, but the question is A) can he stay healthy long enough to produce 50 points and B) can he stay motivated enough over a full season to reach 50 points.

Point projections are going to be a bit more of a fools game than normal next year for Montreal's forwards. Good chance there will be a ~15 point swing for the top niners based on who plays first unit PP with an all world extra man pairing in Subban-Markov and who gets shut out of the PP all together because you can realistically only use 2 forward lines for the powerplay.

Bourque could pace for anywhere between 30 and 50 points next season and it would say almost nothing about his actual offensive talent.

I voted 30-40, because I think he'll have a 20-20 season, and play around 75 games. And quite honestly, if he's able to score 20 goals with 40-50 points AND plays solid defensively, I'm happy. Bourque has a pretty good contract for a top-9 winger who can score and forecheck.

And once again the love for Ray Bourque is shown to be overflowing here on hfboards.

Let's hope the man keeps healthy and gives the team a much needed boost from the wing.

voted 30 to 40, but at a pace of 0.5 ppg. Bourque was pretty clutch at times...He is a solid 2nd/3rd liner, it all depends on who you play him with and if he stay healthy.
-Desharnais: nope
-Plekanec: yes
-Galchenyuk/Eller: yes

Bourque needs someone with overall good game speed and intensity to play with.

I just hope he continues being a playoffs warrior (like he was in the '13 playoffs...he was one of our top forwards in the recent playoffs). We have him for 2 more seasons? Hopefully he's good for the regular season (and stays healthy), but saves most of it for the real season.

15 to 20goals - 25 to 30 assists.

40-50 points if he plays a full year like he played in the playoffs and at the start of the season.

If he plays with Plekanec and Briere, I could see him getting 50+ points no problem. Otherwise, on the second or third line, 40ish points most likely.

That wouldn't be a bad line. Bourque is sort of a wild card because we don't know if he'll play his fast aggressive game or if he'll play his lazy game.

When he's skating after pucks, making hits, taking good shots, he's easily a 50pt player, especially if he's with Plekanec.

I voted for 20-30 because of this, it's a 50/50

he's like a less talented version of Kovalev, you never know which one will show up

17-25-42 with physical play and involved defensively on the 2nd/3rd line I'd be very happy. He's not all that expensive if you compare him to other similar players.

Though I expect a little less only because I don't expect much offensively from this team this season... too many small forwards, Gallagher I think will have a big sophomore slump, not sure how Eller will come back from his hit.

Voted 30-40.

I really don't see it. His first year here, yes, he was bad that whole year. Seemed troubled by off-ice stuff.

Any other years he's been good for 40-50 points, 25 goals, involved physically.

He does not always get results, but I don't see the laziness people plague him with.

He can hit 20 goals, just like Gionta, Gallagher, Briere, and Plek can and probably will if they all remain healthy.

Patches will hit 30.

And this is why this diminutive team will make the playoffs.

Eller, Galchenyuk, and Maybe even DD all have 20G potential as well. Not saying each players gonna hit 20 obviously but im supporting your point. The odds are in our favour to have enough guys hit that plateau for us to get into the playoffs
