Well, what do you think about M.Dano future after NHL draft ? I'd say he's too experienced for CHL. Will he continue in Slovan jersey ? I hope so...

I expect him to spend another season in Slovan or come to the AHL next season. There's no reason for him to play junior.

There is not complete agreement as where to go from here. He is signed for two more years with Slovan. Slovan today said they would free him of contractual obligations if he were to make Columbus. If he was sent to Springfield or Prince George, they would call him back.

He himself stated that he would play for Springfield if Columbus sent him down.

Was surprised to see his name pop up, wasn't Tomáš Mikuš eligible for this draft? Either way happy to see Dallas select a Slovak. There was a quote saying that they were impressed with Paulovič at the U18 tournament and that their Swedish scouts followed him. It seems like a very Jim Nill kind of find. I hope that he can somehow get Jurčo down to Dallas

Maybe the scouts from Dallas see, what others dont. OK, lets wait. I hope, he will make it.
In regards of Tomas Mikus. He is already 20 years old. His draft year was 2011. Maybe he will some late bloomer.

Jim Nill didn´t scout him for sure, he has worked the whole season for Red Wings. Stars have Swedish scout, plus Karri Takko is chief European scout for them.
Waste of pick in my opinion.

Mikus was still eligible as of this draft. Did not think any team would take him. He would need 2-3 years more of continued improvement in Slovan and maybe then he could be a threat to sign as a UFA in the NHL, not before that.

Petes select 6'3" slovakiaan right winger Matej Paulovic 8th overall in the 2013 CHL Import Draft. Details to follow.
Quote:
Dallas Starts prospect Matej Paulovic goes to Peterborough. Intriguing upside. A bit raw. Can shoot the puck, improving hands.
Will be really interested to see how how his first year in the OHL goes

Prince George GM Dallas Thompson says David Soltes is committed to coming to Prince George for the 2013-14 season. I also heard Matej Paulovic has promised to report to the Peterborough Petes.

Slovak preliminary roster for Ivan Hlinka.

Brankári: Maximilián Pajpach (HK ŠKP Poprad), Vladimír Slivka (P.H.K. Prešov), Stanislav Škorvánek ml. (MsHK Žilina).

Obrancovia: Matej Moravčík, Marián Pagáčik (obaja MHK 32 Liptovský Mikuláš), Ladislav Romančík, Adrián Sloboda (obaja HK 36 Skalica), Michal Bílik, Patrik Maier (obaja HC Slovan Bratislava), Jakub Bajaník (MsHK Žilina), Samuel Ivanič (HC'05 Banská Bystrica).

Útočníci: Peter Galis, Marco Halama, Filip Kundrát, Patrik Kratochvíla, Šimon Petráš (všetci HC Slovan Bratislava), Martin Krasničan, Juraj Milý (obaja P.H.K. Prešov), Lukáš Berák, Dominik Novák (obaja Dukla Trenčín), Filip Adamčík (HC'05 Banská Bystrica), Lukáš Hrušík (MHK Dubnica), Matej Paločko (HK ŠKP Poprad)

No Ferenc? That means he's either injured or going to play outside of Slovak borders. But when I was asking Milý yesterday, he told me Ferenc is healthy. And I do not know anything about his move from Prešov. Well...

Either way it's interesting roster, but I don't like it. Especialy defense is terrible.

His first choice is Sweden. He should land there.

Thank you, any idea of the club he would be linked to, and will this be good for his development playing to what I expect to be J20 Superelit?

No idea. In my opinion Sweden should be a good fit for him.

I am watching matches of Slovakia U18 on Ivan Hlinka Memorial and I have to say that the year 96 is very weak. Very weak.

But Adrian Holesinsky playing very well. The captain. A very respectable player. Often wins duels, two-way center, good PP player, good balance and very well forchecking. Very good passer.

Saw him once last week in Poprad. Invisible. Nothing. Small, soft, perimeter, player, very average skater for his size.

Invisible? Small and weak yes... but he is very good player. He has time to improve his skills in Sweden. For one year can make great progress. He had excelent hockey sense. Good technique...

Not invisible, but weak and young.

Reway dominated, was much better than Dano. Liked Lantosi, excellent skater, good hands, can score.

Agreed with czechexpert. Lantoši has played great tournament. It was a little bit surprise for me that he was able to compete at U20 level already.

Daňo and especially Cehlárik has played almost nothing. It seemed to me that Cehlárik was trying to avoid injury before the summer camp with Lulea. But that's just hypothesis.

I'm rather wondering what are the czechexpert's thoughts on Pajpach. Pretty dominant against Russia, but yesterday two five hole goals (if not three...) and was pulled after 1st period.
