NHL takes over Devils, they are broke. 250M in debt.

Really? When did Seattle win a Cup previously, since the Flyers have won 2 last time I checked.

Seattle drafts Durant...moves after his rookie season
Sixers luck out and draft Wiggins... Oh noez!

The Sixers have some kind of long-term lease agreement, but everything can be broken/paid off if the money is right in this world.

I think the city they get moved to would be mad as well considering their crappy product right now...

There's no way either of those teams move. Not going to move the Devils out of their brand new arena and have it sit empty

Dekeyser played for the Red Wings after being signed, and also played in the playoffs for them... and by all accounts looked pretty good.

But yeh, he had very little NHL exp, and Jones is going to play this year... but I doubt either make the squad.

I know Dekeyser played in the NHL, that's why I didn't mention him in my posts...

Yeah I doubt either of them make the team either, I was just surprised to see Jones' name on there (Trouba too, who I didn't notice before) because he's never played professionally.

I hope the Devils franchise folds. I don't even want them moved to Quebec or whatever...I want them to fold, and then the NHL can expand another team elsewhere. I want them to stop existing.

I have nothing against their fans or anything, I just despise the franchise itself.

Dump mountains of salt on East Rutherford so nothing grows there for a century.

I want to dump loose nuclear waste in the Prudential Center. Turn it into a Superfund site so that no team can ever take the Devils place for thousands of years. We can use the salt to bury Stevens' house.

Not sure how the two are related.

And Seattle is building an arena specifically to get the NBA back in town, their team was stolen from them.

The Prime Lindros vs. Current Crosby poll on the main boards is pretty entertaining. I don't think Pens fans will ever understand how dominant Lindros was when he was at his best. Reading that thread is funny and frustrating at the same time.

Lindros' production is even more amazing when you consider the way the game was officiated. Guys would jam their stick into his belly and ride him down the ice like a ric-shaw (sp?).

If he played in this era with no obstruction Lindros may have killed several dmen on the forecheck with the speed he would generate. The guy hit like a freight train.

You have to remember a lot of them became "fans" in 2005. Anything before that doesn't really register with them.

Jody Shelley officially retires. The Blue Jackets hired him to what looks like will be a tv analyst for them.
