The ice at Bridgestone Arena is still gold. The creases really light up with their blue paint. Not hard to find a puck on the ice, but the cones really just blended right in...

Yup, congrats to them ... hope they're eliminated quickly, so I & the rest of Nashville don't have to listen to Clay Tardis talk about ratings for very long

Tomorrow is the Adult (G.O.A.L.) session at Bridgestone! Can't wait to participate in this. Should learn a lot and probably fall on my ass quite a bit.

This was so much fun. We had a full session and the ice was pretty packed. Did some light drills and skating then finished off with a scrimmage. Good stuff. I'm pretty sore in my lower back today. But it was cool seeing so many people trying to learn hockey of all ages genders and races. Great time. I'll definitely look into buying some skates and start trying to do this more often.

Honestly. Today is a day I wish I was Clune or Weber. At least they can punch something. Or someone.

I was looking through old media guides today ..... why is Jeff Kealty's first picture as a scout of him in a Preds jersey? Was he really too lazy to update his photo between 99-00 and 01-02?

The sad part is from what I have been told, that would require a visa. My boss went on a Baltic cruise this summer and spent 2 days at dock in St. Petersburg. He said he had to do the ships excursions there as that was the only way to get off of the boat without a visa

A truly random thought:

It occurred to me, as I pulled into my garage and saw my Stiga Stanley Cup game sitting on a table, that there would only be one way for the Predators to meet the Detroit Red Wings in the playoffs.

I then thought back to a certain poster on another of our illustrious (if dying) message boards who switched from being a fan of the team in the shadows of the Gateway Arch: our team's history is interlocked with that of the Detroit Red Wings.

It would not surprise me if, on some future day (hopefully sooner than later), when the Predators reach the Stanley Cup finals, our opponents would be... the Red Wings.

I really don't know how I'd feel about this, if it happened.
